Remake Deathmatch

    Deathmatch is a Reach interpretation of The Longest Yard from Quake 3. Those who have played the map in its original setting know how frantic and fast paced the game play can be. That's what I was aiming for here, as well. There is essentially no cover, so you can be shot from almost anywhere. Teleports from the bottom level to the top level allow players to gain the high ground quickly. There is also a pair of teleporters that go from left-side to right-side. Man cannons are on the map to reach the rockets and the overshield. Be careful though! If you enter the man cannon from the side or front, you may not make it to your destination! Choose wisely..

    Some modifications were made from the original. Notably, the center 5-piece bounce pad structure was removed due to restrictions on the amount of man cannons available. To prevent players from dominating the high ground, teleports were put in that go from bottom left/right to top left/right. The bounce pads from mid to top have been replaced by a ramp, again due to restrictions on the number of man cannons. Since the man cannons to the overshield can be a little unforgiving, I've added a safety net (block) to stop the majority of accidental deaths.

    This map is only designed for FFA slayer, with support for up to 8 players. Get fragging!
