I recently created a death island remake that i feel is pretty good if not so much identical to the original map. tell me what you think. i dont remember what gametypes are compatible but only team games work trust me it's flatter than it look also the pillars are elevator shafts. i made this because i could not make normal pillars that looked right
I loved death island, but I can't even come close to seeing if this is anything like it. There are no pictures. http://www.forgehub.com/forum/halo-reach-custom-content/104926-how-post-screenshots.html You have some time (An hour?) to fix before lock.
as much as i wish it was, this really is not an accurate map, please try again (im looking forward to a good death island map)
The map seems really messy from the looks of the screenshots. Death Island was my favorite on PC and I really don't see the resemblance, at all. I suppose that it was a good try, but maybe you should open the PC map and walk around it while actually building the map on Reach. I haven't tried that, but it seems as though it might help.
Yes, death Island was fantastic, but this doesn't quite meet the standards. Did you use edit coordinates? xP
Old thread guys... Geez... In my opinion, this could have been alot better if the guy knew what rotationsnap was at the time it was made
Death Island was one of my all time favorites back when I played it on Halo: CE Custom Edition, especially it was because it was set in my favorite Halo campaign missions of all time: The Silent Cartographer. I get nostalgic when I see good remakes of it, but this one... not so much. By the way the screenshots look, this map bears but a little bit of resemblance to the original thing. The aesthetics leave much to be desired; it's sloppy and inconsistent. Plus, I, personally, hate to see a map with too many ugly colosseum walls - more aesthetic quality the better. If you try again, I hope that you'll come out with a really nice DI map. However, for now, I can't say that I would ever like to download this map. It's messy, doesn't follow the original map, and reminds me nothing of TSC or my old memories. Sorry, but I give this a 1 out of 10 on what I'd like to see from this map.
