Your map remakes are top notch. I know there have been remakes of Lockout, but none of them have been close enough to 1:1 perfection. Credit to those that have tried and some are pretty good even! Would one of you please dedicate to make a remake of that map with good aesthetics and all the correct jumps/layout. I have found too many faults with the 6 or 7 I have looked at/played on, some are very close and the thought and time are appreciated, however I think Lockout has the right feel to play well in matchmaking at some point. I also challenge anyone else to give it a shot, a lot of great forgers out there. I only mentioned the forgers that are on fire right now, not that the flame left anyone else or that it can't show up in someone else. I know remakes take a lot of dedication, I'd love to do it, but mine would be another near perfect I'm afraid. My love for lockout is 11/10 and I would love to play it in Halo 5 matchmaking at some point, which would mean it had to be a perfect remake.
Dude. No offense, but this ain't the way to go. If you really want them to remake Lockout for you, just send them a personal message via Xbox Live. It'll prove to be much more effective.
Credit given where credit is due, these guys obviously take the right approach to a remake. Anyone who has made a name for themselves like these guys have may not even check all of their messages. Not to mention that if they see the community behind the idea they might be more interested in doing it rather than a simple message.
Aww shucks I'm glad that people are loving playing remakes as much as I love making them. It's really fun to be able to get involved with the community in such a way And to the other map makers working hard and putting out incredible content, you guys are amazing. I don't think I could even come close to the quality of WyvernZu!
Thanks ^_^ Remembrance was my first forge map though and I had help from several other people. I'm not doing any remakes for now I'm gonna do a few original maps. also FGT Insanity was doing a pretty good looking one( as noted above by Blaze ) maybe it's not submitted yet?

That looks ok, perfectly rebuilt. However, like I said before, a perfectly rebuilt version with aesthetics. That post of lockout and that great version of the pit have a love child.
While I'm personally not much of one to do remakes, I did make an original map (designed for Halo 5 mechanics) which is heavily inspired by Lockout. Feel free to check it out - it's called "Nowhere." Also by all means leave any feedback - trying to capture the "Lockout vibe" with it.
We share the same interest, I am personally on the hunt for a 1:1 Lockout (that is also pleasing to the eye) as well. The forgers listed above do make great candidates, but than again it's their decision to do it or not. Wyvernzu is making a very ascetically pleasing Guardian, which gives me hope that she will remake its other brothers and sisters (Prisoner, Lockout, The Cage, and Haven) in the future. But I don't think it's very likely...

I played on FTG Insanity's version of lockout. Unfinished of course, but if he can pull off the aesthetics, it will be perfect. Given your feel for it man, I would make 2 versions. Your dedicated official remake that looks like Halo 2s version, but then make a version of it with incredible aesthetics like the version of the pit we saw, without of course changing the way it plays. I'm looking forward to this!
Sorry for the late reply (it may not even be relevant anymore), I just now noticed this thread lol. I'm glad you love my remakes, along with the others you have listed off plus others not mentioned Like others have said previously above me, there are a good amount of Lockout remakes already out there, and some are really good even if they aren't exactly 1:1 in scale. I remember FTG Insanity posted "H2 Lashout" a little while back and I think it looks like an amazing remake! I have no idea if it is exactly 1:1, but I'm sure it's very very close especially since he used Lockdown for measurements and made it to have it be played with all spartan abilities disabled. Also, just a side note, my maps are not 1:1 either, no where near in fact. My Countdown remake was the first map I made in Halo 5 so the scaling is quite off ( as a good amount of people have already expressed lol), and my Zanzibar/Last Resort remake is a little bit closer, but I used map areas from Zanzibar, Last Resort, and Stonetown, along with some changes I felt like adding. Getting maps to be 1:1 is pretty hard to do in forge, and at least for my maps I want them to be playable with both classic settings and new settings in mind. Anyway, I know I'm replying almost 2 months later (again, sorry I just noticed it lol), but I just wanted to say thank you for expressing how you feel about the work we put into our maps! I'm really glad you like what we have made and I'm sure we will continue to impress you and the rest of the Halo community. But if you're looking for a close Lockout remake, I would go for H2 Lashout

I'm resurrecting this thread. That's right baby. (primarily because now that there is a 10/10 guardian remake...it would be just wonderful if...lockout? It'd be like peanut butter and jelly, or like america and bacon =D)
