    Story: A rich man stumbled drunk upon a unopened box in an ally. Curiosity gripped his mind wondering what the box contained. Examining it, the man found that the container was labeled toxic. Being in his drunken stupor, he carried the box under his arm and whistled for a cab. Laying the box on his lap, he begins to doze off to a state of dreaming. Not lasting long, the cap driver called back to him that he has arrived. Watching his step and trying to control his oncoming sickness, the rich man begins up the short flight of stairs and into his Mansion. Tripping to his room with the container under his arm, he tosses the box onto his bed, and lays next to it. Dazing, he beings to sleep.

    Awakened by sunlight, the man leans up but lays back down knowing he has no strength. Tossing his head side to side, he spots his finding and picks it up. Once again, curiosity rains over his mind. Giving in to temptation, he unlocks the container. Forcing himself to sit up, he looks inside and finds a syringe. Still drunk, he picks up the needle and forces the needle through his skin. Leaving the syringe in his skin, he falls back asleep.

    Immense knocking came at the front door of the Mansion, squad cars scattered across his yard. The man lay in bed, not knowing he has the syringe in his arm, he begins to have spasms in his muscles. Screams of pain and agony coursed out his mouth like a waterfall. A loud boom sounded off through the halls, echoing eerily. Footsteps scurried here and there looking for the man. Laying on the floor, his muscles twitching, blood began to flow from his mouth. The rich man lay within his blood, and stopped breathing.

    Police coming to the rich mans bedroom door, they knocked it open. Glancing from left to right, they found nothing but dried red liquid upon the floor. Three police members entered the room, searching rooms. A scream of pain echoed throughout the room, the other two police members drew their guns, aiming at a bathroom door. Patiently waiting, the two stepped forward. Bursting out of the bathroom door, two distorted and bloodied figures raced towards the police members. In a attempt, they both fired but missed. Tearing into their skin, the figures began to find distaste in the victim ed police members, they begin to hunt down the others.


    The Map: Dead Mansion was an idea that came after I got done finishing my front door switch. Pondering I thought, What could I build. Then I thought of a Mansion. Being a lover for Infection, I started to build this map for the gametype of infection. After hours of interlocking and straightening things up to look like a deserted and old, crude Mansion, I finished the map. The Mansion itself is consisted of three main sections: The Main Room, Upstairs, and the Attic. There are a few side entrances and hallways so there is more space to run from zombies. xD



    Two open windows are placed on each side of the mansion, and on the backside there is an unfinished wall due to construction of the mansion. The attic has two sections: A bottom section which you can only crouch, and an upper section accessed only through the side stairwell. There is also an under section of the mansion. You can access various locations through it.Overall, there is a fair amount of escape routes, entrances, game play area, and well... chaos :)





    Details: Two shotguns are placed inside the mansion. One is in the upper section of the attic, and another is placed in the main room. Two magnums are under the entrances to the attic.



    There is a vehicle placed on the left side of the mansion along with a turret on top of the garage.

    I do not have any action shots currently because this map was never played on before. But, I'll get some later on and update this post.

    i read your story to go with the map and i think it's pretty good, kinda funny that you made a story with it, but then again people do that so w/e? i like the mansion, definitely since it has a lot of tiny rooms for places to hide at if u wanted. i also like how you used bridges for the floor in one of the screenshots, i think it's a cool idea for the black and red/white colors to be on the inside of the house. looks good to me! nice job!

    It looks like an amazing map, but pictures should be taken during a custom game, not forge. All of the little blue markers and spawn points distract from the map itself, which looks amazing. I love all of the attics and hallways, and it seems great for infection games, which are my favorite games to play.

    The only problem I see with it is purely aesthetical (is that a word?) The overall building doesn't looks like a house very much. I'm sure it doesn't matter in the gameplay, but it would have been cooler to look at if it had been in a house shape.

    wow! this is an amazing map. I also love the story you made up. sounds like resident evil. i give you a 4/5 because i dont see many weapons and you didnt show us the escape routes. If you did, sorry. i probably missed them. the attics look awesome and the humans might have a hard time running from the zombies. =P make a video of the map and i am sure that you will get lots of downloads.
    oh and to the guy above me, he said so himself that it was supposed to look like a crude mansion. if it looks like a neat house, then it would not be as scary and would not have enough places to hide.

    Yeah I tend to ramble on whenever I'm writing a story to go along with something. xD

    And thanks AItius, Ill keep that in mind. I was half asleep when I took those pics so I didn't know.

    I slightly ran out of money to put more weapons on the map. And I believe I did tell the escape routes in the description, but didn't have any photos.

    Ill update it I can.

    You said above that it has never been played on. Did you test to make sure there were no problems? Regardless of that it seems like it would work very well. It is definately one of the better forged haunted houses as far as interlocking, asthetics, and looks go. Good job!

    Well, I ran some tests on the close able door switch. Adjusted it. It checked out. And I found some slight floor problems, I fixed those.

    Oh what else... I believe that appears to be it.

    Kind like my Shihuruville maps, only this one is set in a house instead of a ravaged city. Like the story, way more original than the one I had for my shihuruville maps...
