Alright, I finally decided to get a capture card of my own, and today I picked up the Dazzle DVD Recorder, because all I need is the box that converts RCA to USB. I have used other DVD conversion boxes, and never had to use any software with them, so I assumed the same for this. Then I see I had software, so I installed it. However, it won't let me do anything with my Dazzle capture card. It says that I need to insert a disc, and I insert the only disc it came with, but it says it can't find a disc, and promptly closes.

So I surfed the web, and looked on my box, and realized that ALL Dazzle products are for 32-bit Vista only, and I run 64 bit. I was a little worried, but then thought "If other things I used needed no software, why the hell does this thing?" So I continue to try and find ways to get it to run, but I keep running into "THIS WON'T WORK FOR 64 BIT!" Well, now I am worried. Does that mean 64 bit users are forever ****ed? Is there no way I can use my damn dazzle with Sony Vegas 7 with 64 Bit Vista? Because I am lost. The thing I used before was a little more complex than a Dazzle, and about $500, but borrowing it got to be a pain in the ass, and unreliable. I honestly don't know anything reasonably affordable besides the Dazzle.

So really, I need help, or need someone to flat out say I am ****ing screwed.

You got the wrong capture card. You need a capture card specifically for 64 bit, and I'm pretty sure Dazzle doesnt make Dazzles for 64 bit. Pretty much, not to sound like a douche, but you are SOL for that cap card you have....

Yep. That is what I expected, or should have. I honestly don't get it. All it is doing is turning RCA ends into USB, hence why the previous thing I used that was $500 worked without software, and I assumed all worked as such. Then again, maybe the only things that can work are that expensive. Oh well, guess I am SOL =[
