Was attempting to play Dark Souls this evening, and, for some reason, it won't let me sign into Xbox Live. I tried connecting manually, but it kept coming up with a message saying, "Your connection to Xbox LIVE has been lost. Please sign in again." And has the OK or Test Connection options down the bottom. If I select Test Connection, it takes me back to the Dashboard, but I'm signed into Live. As soon as I start up Dark Souls again it signs me out but doesn't indicate that it's signed me out.

I've tried clearing my system cache and re-downloading the patch, but that didn't work. I tried switching it on and off again, but that didn't work. I've even tried yelling abusive comments at it, but that didn't work either, and now I'm all out of ideas. Had a look around to see if I'm the only one experiencing this problem, but I found very little, so it must be an extremely small minority it's affecting. Which sucks, because I want to play some online.

Has anyone else experienced this, and if so, how'd you fix the ****er?

I had this a long time ago when I tried to connect to Xbox Live while I played Fallout 3, and again when I played Forza 2 online.

With Fallout 3, it fixed itself when I cleared the system cache. Forza 2 just worked one day when I tried it.

Maybe it's something with the servers that's unique to DS, so it knocks you offline...
But if it was, the game would just knock you into offline mode, so I have no idea. Not sure if it's just you either, don't have my copy with me here...

This is obviously one of the things that makes it the hardest game ever. Gameplay wasn't difficult enough, so they added connection issues.

    ****ing lawl.

Problem seems to have fixed itself, though. I played it for about an hour on offline mode, randomly decided to try to connect, and it just worked. I've got no idea why it did, but it did. So I'm okay with this.

I figure it had something to do with the new patch, but I honestly have no idea. It's working again now, so I'm not going to question it and risk jinxing myself.
