So here's my first map I'm posting that is not a remake. However I was greatly inspired by Battle Creek when I started this project. It turned into something completely different. I'm always trying to make maps that would work well for ShWATguns (because that is one of my favorites to play from Halo 3). But I also try to make it work for regular slayer as well. Cyanic is a small symmetrical map that works best as a 2v2 map but can support 4v4, albeit a little hectic. I like small maps because I usually end up playing 1v1 against my kid (who can be very humbling to play). So it isn't a lot of fun to track each other down on huge maps. My friends I play LAN customs games with like to play ShWATguns but with lower health. It makes for a great massacre on small maps like this with eight people playing. For team slayer there are weapons to use on map. The rocket launcher doesn't have any extra clips and the snipers only have one. Using a sniper on this map can be difficult sometimes due to the tight quarters, but I love sniper rifles. DAMN. First thought that came into being. This is a mighty pleasing map you have, good sir. The layout looks tight, and oddly reminiscent of Battle/Beaver Creek. I like you created an indoor space that feels like it has plenty of room to fight. A lot of maps fail to do that. Along that same line, the aesthetics of your map are quite pleasing. I LOVE stairs (Especially functioning ones) so you got me hooked as soon as I saw those, but the way you used the basic pieces in creative ways really drew my eye. I like the rounded bridge in the middle, breaks up that no-mans land in the center quite nicely. But before I start writing a novel, I'll just wrap up and say it looks great. Will post back when I run a few tests on it sometime during the week. 4/5 till testing is completed
Oh my jeebuz. This looks amazing. The aesthetics look great. Flow seems to go towards the rockets and overshield, and power weapons are perfect for this map. I can just imagine in the begining of this game is a race to the rockets and overshield. Anyways, great map. Keep forging.

Really diggin the lighting in the center. It completely sells the water being reflected off the metal. I typically don't like water in maps, but you've kept it to a minimum and pulled it off well. Great looking map, wish I could download (not my xbox, dont' know roommates live id). Makes me a sad panda.
Great map, I'm just concerned that whoever gets the rockets also gets the overshield and then he's like invincible. I feel that the map is too small for a rocket launcher on it. A shotgun would do just fine in place of the rockets. The map uses the same power weapons as The Pit except minus the Sword, and The Pit was a large map compared to this. This is wonderful aesthetically.
Well I thought if it didn't have any clips it would be okay even if they got the overshields as well. It's definitely a mad dash for the rockets at the beginning. I really wasn't sure where to go with weapons on this map. Like I said in the description, it was really geared more towards SWAT-type games anyways where the weapon set wouldn't really matter. I appreciate the feedback.
I would recommend increasing the respawn time on most of the power weapons for those of us who play team slayer. I believe both the shotguns and OS are on a 30 sec respawn which is quite low especially since the shotguns can be overpowering on a smaller map like this. I think the snipers are 45 sec and rockets 60 sec which is low also but I'll let you be the judge. You might want to add an extra step on one of the sides near the drainage pipe thing because I would get stuck sometimes. Overall though I like the map, nice work.
This would be great for 1v1 and 2v2's, great small symetrical map, I especially like the stairs effect. Very Asethically pleasing
The map looks awesome, but I wonder about the strange teleports, which lead right between the bases. I wonder it this path will be taken too much compared to walking through, especially with sniper spawn up near them. The elevator works well, but I have always thought those 1-way shield doors looked ugly and out of place in most maps. The center area rocks, I love ho the light reflects there. The sandbar is one of my favorite places to forge too! Great map, first thing I thought was "Why isn't a map like this in matchmaking?"
Wooow, this map is so aesthetically pleasing. This map definetly looks well- thought out and looks very neat. The bridge with the water and stairs is so sick. This map is so creative, but do the stairs work? Are they smooth? If so, that's good. Also, The overshield might be a bit over powering for this map, but I think that won't matter because the center of the map doesn't look to have too much cover wich would be good for the person with the overshield. Overall, this map looks insane. Greak work.
This appears to be very elegant and smoothly forged. Those stairs really jumped forward at me, the bars in the sewer were also a nice touch.
Just got done with my first walk through and i like it . The whole bridge and stairss area i love, It will be on the Taco Tuesday FFA night at my house.
Wonderful use of Forge Structures. I love the way you implemented such a beautiful looking staircase leading to the stream beneath the bridge. I definitely get the Battle Creek inspiration, however, this map hosts an entirely different feel, not present in any map I've played to date. I haven't tested the gameplay, but as far as aesthetics and accessibility, this map seems top notch!
WOW i didnt know you made this map, remeber i said i submitted your and my warlock remakes to the bungie thread, i must have downloaded this off your file share at the time, this is without a doubt in my top 10 maps, its really well constructed and fun to play on, its got a similar gameplay feel to 'Think Twice' compact and lots of fun, i changed the spawn time on the overshield and rockets because i felt they spawned to quick leading to bridge camping, put in a fusion coil on each ledge to help stop ledge camping and moved removed the 2 lights from the middle to help frame rate, but yea i love this map. 9.5/10
Wow this looks really good. 2nd Screenie is what drew my attention. I would as well bump up the respawns for Power weapons, but this really reminds me of halo 2 for some reason. The steps are nice and that Bridge/tunnel looks really innovative and cool. Download from me.

Well good to have you back, yea it freaked me out lol, good to have you back, hope you're going to get back to forging, I used to play a LOT of cyanic, back in the days when people played reach lol, I've got a version with lots of small edits you should probably take a look at it at some point, I'll send you a friend request and grabe you next time were both on
