Instead of using a picture of the default map when we select one of our custom maps in forge, will we be able to take a picture ourselves and use that?
Yeah. The same thing occurred to me early on, and I hoped that they would have thrown in that feature. I also wanted them to let you place 'location areas' and name them whatever you want. And let the monitors glow your team color. (If you're purple team, you glow purple).
Actually i think i heard in one of the million videos that have been release that you cant, although i may be wrong. Off topic: i think its cool that you can choose the view people have while theyre spawning
Damn. Does anyone have a link back to this Q&A? I don't remember this being mentioned in the questions posted in the recent site update, but there were quite a few so I could have missed it and I know that was only some of the questions answered anyway. With the addition of the loadout cam I had hoped we'd be able to have custom map thumbnails too, finally letting forgers make each map truly their own even in the small details. I wouldn't be surprised if it was rooted in the system of having Forge World as a map of it's own, and of the two I definitely think that the loadout cam is the more beneficial as an addition.
how many file share slots do you know we can use? i know this is off topic, but the map pictures have to do with your fileshare so...
Nobody knows. On topic, they CONFIRMED that we will not be able to have custom pictures because they couldnt possibly moderate those to 'keep it clean.'
I made a thread on this about 2 months ago and the idea was put to rest, the thread was closed so I recommend this gets closed. Ohh and personally I do hope they allow custom pictures, I don't see why they couldn't!
