This is a map of mine that has been in the works for a while. It was meant for a 3v3, but when I was building the map seemed to keep growing and growing. What I have now is a map that is about the size of a 6v6. If you couldn't tell by the name this map features a lot of curves which made it very time consuming to build. Hopefully it was worth all of the time. The basic layout of the map was inspired by the letter B. It still stays pretty true to that layout. The map hasn't gone through enough testing, and I was hoping that the community can help with this. It's gone through two major testing sessions, and both of those majorly improved the map. So if I can get some people to help me test it would be great. Thanks for Viewing!
Yeah, I tried to limit the sight lines. The map was way to open before. I've also added a few more paths so it is easier to get around the map. There are also more elevation changes on the map. Before it was pretty flat with one major drop in the middle.
I can't really say much about the gameplay, because I haven't played it, but the layout seems easy to learn, which is always a plus. But my god I am in love with your piece usage. Looks very uniform and clean. The mergers are hardly noticeable as well, which I can hardly say about my own maps. Very nice, I'll love to see the final product.
DC: Thanks, the most noticeable merge is probably in the first picture with the coliseum walls. I couldn't really find a way to fix that because I'm out of pieces. Hopefully I can get a test this weekend or next, and see how well my most recent changes work to improve the gameplay.
I was gunna use that name! D: haha Oh well. This looks really cool man! I can't wait to check it out.
Holy **** man, this looks really nice. Your object usage is really neat and clean, which is something I've been trying to work on for a while. The only issue I have, without having seen this in "person," would be framerate. How does it preform? Oh, and if youneed testers, definitely shoot me an invite.
Thanks for all of the comments. Given To Fly: Sorry I stole your map name If you really want the map name, I would be happy to change my map's name. Curvature was kind of a place holder name any way. Oasis Hurler: Thanks for volunteering to test. I could definitely use you. Behemoth: I'm glad that you like the looks of the map. As for framerate, the map shouldn't have any problems. I haven't done any official tests with a full party with the new variant of the map, but I have done 1v1 splitscreen tests and those only seem to have issues when we are both in the middle of the map. Even in forge I don't have any problems. Oh, and when I tested the old versions of the map with a full party they didn't have any framerate drops. So hopefully with a full party there won't be any issues. Also, it would be great if you could help me test. For anyone who is interested I'm hosting a testing lobby for this map (and anybody else's maps) at 7:00 EDT on March 30th, this Saturday. The thread is here for you to sign up. Thanks in advance!
