Is there any way to have the flag spawn somewhere other than on the capture plate? Like, in the room below it, for example.

Yea, just place the flag point in one location and the capture point in another.

It always seems to spawn on the capture point though.

You must have your labels wrong then. Or your team designation.

Unfortunately, Bungie made it so that the labeled object that spawns the flag is also the object that the flag needs to be returned to. Perhaps if you use multiple CTF_Flag_Return (I believe that's the label) tags, you might have a choice of which one you can return to. I know that only one flag will spawn per team, so maybe messing with the spawn sequence will allow you to designate the correct place for the flag spawn and then do something so that the other flag object is where the flag needs to be returned to.

Has this been confirmed? I too would like the capture point to be in a different location.

Would there be 2 capture points then if you used two tags? I would rather not have the flag capture point where your flag lies.

As far as I'm aware, you can't change the capture/spawn points.

I haven't tried messing with the spawn sequence and having two CTF_Flag_Return but I doubt that'd fix it.

I tried that too, no luck.

One thing I know would work is having the flag drop off the object it spawns on. Say you used a capture plate, if you rotate it sideways then the place you need to get the flag to will stay with the capture plate but the flag will fall to the ground.

Another idea I've got is adjusting an objects shape, you're not limited to using just the objective items. Get a tall object and set its top to 0 and increase the bottom as much as you need. The flag should spawn on top of the object (or rotate it 180 degrees, it'll fall off the object to the ground) and the capture point underneath (or on top if you rotated). Merge the tall object with you map as required [????] then profit :)
