An endless war is fought between foes on a connecting bridge. Hello forgers, I am back with my 4th map upload. After planning a map to make, I kept coming back to bridges between 2 buildings. Crossfire is exactly that; two buildings with 3 bridges connecting them. The middle bridge is larger than the 2 outside ramps and is flat with cover. It is also the fastest route through the map so it will be a hot zone especially with the rocket launcher right in the middle. The side ramps go from the bottom of one base to the top of the other base, and vice versa. Originally the side ramps were supposed to have a good view of the bridge but creating the bridge in a way that suited that plan looked unattractive. I went with a pleasing look to the bridge and still left space open for the ramps to be able to see in. Outside, since it is symmetrical i used rocks for area awareness. One side wall is rocks and the other is a wall. Weapons on the map are: DMR (6) Sniper Rifle (2) [160 spawn timer with 1 spare clip] Shotgun (2) [90 spawn timer with 1 spare clip] Frag grenade (4) Rocket launcher (1) [120 spawn timer with 0 spare clips] Needler (2) [60 spawn timer with 2 spare clips] Plasma pistol (2) Plasma grenade (4) Health pack (4) For everything else, I'll let the video and pictures do the talking. this looks really great, I like how you forged this with game play in mind. It has all the great elements of a good forge map: open space, minimalist design, accommodation for different game types and a memorable battle location. That bridge with the decorative struts looks great.
my badthis is dope but the side thats closed off in the middle looks great then in one pic it looks like one side is open with rocks can u explain? any way 10/10 for the bridge love it im dl right now get back to ya... my bad i read the description better u explain, it would look better closed in all the way as i can tell so far but again ill get back to ya. u could use colors or decoration to identify instead of rocks maybe the map just looks like it should be like a closed complex.....
Thanks for the comments, and yes I wasnt exactly loving how the rocks looked but didnt dislike them enough to change it. I will probably switch it up a bit to make it look nicer and more smooth. Adding steps up at the sniper platforms to improve sight, filled in the rock wall side and added decoration, and included infection support this time. There is a custom gametype of infection included. Ramps on the bridge and no jump for humans means the humans must defend their bridge position and cant leave.
