Has anyone ever explored cross-gametype infection? (Playing infection on other gametypes) I'd like to see it done in Reach, I know Insane did something similar in Halo 3.

Reason I ask is because I'm working on the concept, using invasion as I like the disappearing blocks aspect. It sounds difficult to make work as when I player dies they won't switch teams. I'm trying a way to make it so when they die they'll respawn in the next phase being locked out from the current phase play area. As for weapons I'll make them available in the next phase play area but disappear when the the play area switches. Players will only be able to pick up weapons for the first few seconds of their life.

As for the final stage, I'm yet to figure that out how that will work. I'll come up with something, not sure yet have a few ideas.

But yeah, anyone have anything similar or have tried this before?

What!? Two gametypes in one game. I didn't even know about this until you brought it up.

He means using a different gametype in place of infection, not combining the two.

Anyways, I remember playing an invasion-infection game awhile ago. It was pretty bad, but I thought it was a cool idea. I'm sure you could make something really cool.
