I would love a weapon akin to the portal gun. Using limited energy, you would mark your tele location from a distance. This will allow you to zip zap around the map collecting various other pick ups, gaining high ground quickly for team spawns, or juking your enemies.
I got two I think: The Ricochet Rifle Tier 2 Magazine Size: 5 Faction: UNSC Similar to the sniper rifle in terms of it's size, shape and design, the Ricochet Rifle has a guaranteed chance to bounce rounds off the first surface it contacts, with a total of 3 bounces being possible. Additionally, the damage dealt increases per ricochet. No Bounce = 3 Shots to kill (Headshots not instant) 1 Bounce = 1 Shot to kill The gun would provide a zoom similar to the default 2x Sniper zoom, but not the 4x. It's ridicule would be resemble the image below. The Vampire Cannon Tier 3 Energy %: 0 - 100 Faction: Forerunner Now this one is a tad more unique. This power weapon would function as a two part rocket launcher. Once picked up, the Vampire Cannon will have 0% charge. In order to charge it, the player will have to use one mode to steal the shields from an opponent. Draining shields will charge the cannon up, as where an 100% Shield drain will equal an 100% Charge. To steal the shield energy, the player must be within a certain distance of the enemy, lets say within 10m. From there, they must simply point and fire at the enemy to collect energy. Once the cannon is charged, the player can switch firing modes and use the energy to fire ring shaped projectiles that ignore shields and do direct health damage. Each projectile will cost 20% of the total charge and the damage dealt depends on the players position when hit by the ring. The closer they are to the center, the more damage they take, with a "dead center" hit resulting in an insta-kill. Since the ring will have an AOE, it will be able to affect multiple targets at once. The weapon is Forerunner themed, and would have the geometry and design similar to that seen on Sentinels. It would be a dark metallic silver, with bright glowing blue accents. Weapon ridicule below. What ya' think? Lol I figured I'd have some fun with it.
I actually hate the sticky det as a replacement for the nade launcher. The gun by itself is fine I guess but it's nothing like my precious pro pipe
The Infestor Faction: Flood Ammo% 100-0 The Infestor starts with 50% ammo. The Infestor's hip fire is a vampiric bean that drains health, but not below 75℅ health and 75℅ shields. This charges the Infestor to max charge. ADS fire shoots a large projectile similar to that of a Flood Ranger's projectile, with a RRR of a sniper rifle, and damage fall off beyond the RRR of the Magnum. Each shot drains by 5℅. Hip melee is a scythe appendage that has slightly higher range than normal and increased damage. ADS melee uses the same appendage but extends it fully using a tentacle that it is attached to. Does slightly less damage than a melee from a regular weapon. ADS shot applies a slow DOT rebuff that can spread from using the same vehicle as an uninfected teammate or said teammate picking up one of your weapons. DOT ticks 5℅ damage to health and shields every second for 5 seconds. Each successive hit resets rebuff, but doesn't stack with it. Obviously Flood themed, with a model of a Flood infected light rifle. Every piece that moves is constantly pulsing and is held up with Flood biomass and even has the scope do its thing with the weapon having green lights on it, and every shot has a 1/2 second cool down where it plays the light rifle reload but simply has the parts move out and back into place. The VFX that shows is a beam of that dims for a 1/4 second and brightens for the next. Idle animation constantly plays. Probably a bit too complicated to be used effectively by beginners, but it is cool.
Moded grenade launcher: Shoots grenades in your inventory, with increased range, Area of effect, and manual detonation option
The Focus Rifle would be nice to have back. . . . . .But I would much rather have the Target Locator again.
Might have commented this already because I don't shut up about it.... A weapon which has an alternate fire mode when zoomed/unzoomed. A concussion rifle style shot with low damage without direct hit but has lots of knock back to imobilize a player and can be used for launching. The zoomed in would drain the energy with a constant beam similar to a sentinel beam and could push a player that is not grounded. This would add both of the major missing weapon types and add a meta that is completely absent from halo. One mode stops straying and one mode stops jumping. The attacker and the victim would have to play strategically.
A Lime Launcher. It would turn enemies green and make them drunk. It would look like a potato launcher made out of PVC piping and be made SPECIFICALLY for limes.
A good REQ weapon to have would be an assault rifle that's essentially a full-auto shotgun. It would shoot five razor-sharp darts with every shot, at about half the ROF of the Assault Rifle, and only a 24-round magazine. Each round would have five darts. It would have about the same effective range as an Assault Rifle, while being viciously powerful up close. To counter-act this, there would be no aim assist, and ADS would NOT help accuracy. It would also have a standard maximum of three magazines, and the reload would be rather slow.
I would LOVE to bring in a proximity mine gun of sorts. Or give me proximity grenades or something. The White Scar is a good first step. The code is there now... ooo what about ye ole Spike Grenade from Halo 3 with proximity trigger. Power Grenades is a missed opportunity... lol. Or maybe a proximity Void's Tear Black Hole. Hello Shadow Shot from Destiny. I want the option to enable more strategy roles. Even just a proximity smoke or proximity effect that triggers a Waypoint or Outline on the person who trips it. There are so many options here. It hurts my heart knowing that we can't do this quite yet. Perhaps when White Scar comes out in Forge we can do some crazy things with the weapon pad glitch to change ammunition. *crosses fingers*
