Map Description Courtyard is an asymmetrical map that has two bases, two vents that start in each base and leave, and one courtyard next to the bases. It focuses on battles in the vents, the courtyard, and between bases. No one really goes right through the middle because your a sitting duck from almost all sides and bases. In the vent pictures, i say entrances and exits, although they can be travelled through from both sides, i was just identifying them. The cones in each base signify where the vents are, look for the cones! Looks fairly good, a little sloppy intersecting though, especially with the wall, some boxes are not lined up too well. But I was getting the negatives out first. I think this is a good map though! It Took awhile, like a weekend of no life. Why does everyone say it looks sloppy? I honestly dont think it looks sloppy and im not just saying that cuz its my map! Can you point out the "sloppy" parts?
By sloppy parts, we mean the parts that are not interlocked. It especially looks sloppy if you have a non-interlocked object next to an interlocked one. It really emphasizes the fact that it's not interlocked
okay, i interlocked all the floors, just not some of the walls. Does not having interlocked walls make the map PLAY worse?
Awesome idea for a layout, this map looks awesome, although the forging does look a little sketchy in some parts, but who cares. Great job dude.

it looks like you spent a good long while putting this together and planning each part out. i think the name also fits the map, which most of the time, they dont. i did a forgethrough so far and i really think it'll lend itself to some great gameplay. do you recommend teams over FFA all the time? or is it good for both? my favorite feature of this map are the vents.
I would really like to quote you all on this page, but thesilencebroken is the only one who asked a question. I think that team games work very well, particularly CTF (multi flag). The vents are definitely a great aspect of the map. They took the longest to make but turned out very well and they are actually used as a main pathway of travel, which is what I was aiming for. To the guys telling me the sloppy parts: thank you for pointing them out. I disagree with every one who thinks that this distracts from the map for 2 reasons: 1) the sloppy top of Red Base vent is only visibly sloppy from the picture. While in game you rarely look up there enough to notice that it has sloppy roofing. 2) while the guy (first page, forgot your name) who pointed out that the interlocked sides do emphasize the non-interlocked parts is right, the only non-interlocked parts are the walls, so It does not effect gameplay. I'm also really glad that blaze814 likes this map cuz I have seen his maps and he is a beast (and also a way higher rank than me). cool medium sized map. reminds me alot of The Pit espesially from the picture below "looking from Courtyard to middle"
This is a very interesting map, it seems to have a lot to it, I especially liked the "looking from courtyard to middle" picture because it really shows something unique about your map that not many maps have.
