GT- BloodyNinja17 Map- Corrosive Supports- 8-10 players Gametypes- FFA, Team Slayer Budget- About $8k Hey all, Happy New Year! To finish off the year, I wanted to get some early feedback for my first slayer-based forged map, Corrosive (name subject to change). Though I only began working on it yesterday, I feel I've made enough progress to warrant showing off the overall structure of the map. A short description: It is bilaterally-symmetric, meaning its two halves are close to mirror images of one another (there are some small differences between the two). It features 3 different levels, though the top two are the ones that should see a majority of the action (the lower level is for a more stealthy approach, and is my tentative location of the energy sword). There is a gravity lift on each side allowing quick access to the top level, as well as several ramps connecting the middle and upper levels. Players can also jump down to the middle level from various points. Here is a quick preview of the map. Keep in mind this is a very early build, and so issues such as sightlines, weapon spawns, and aesthetics still need to be ironed out. What I'm more interested in getting feedback on is the flow and overall layout of the map. What you liked, what you disliked, and how you think it could function once properly put together. But any and all feedback is greatly appreciated. Thanks for looking! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CfTPCPhnIAk&feature=youtu.be EDIT- Uploaded a new version with weapon spawns, additional aesthetics, and fixed some LoS issues. Note that the giant platforms serve as a placeholder more than anything else. I'm sure I'll replace them with something more suitable in the final version.
FYI: I had one of my maps named Corrosive, and some did not like the name for some reason, I have not seen yours yet, but maybe you will have btter luck with that name than I did!
That makes two of us haha. Come to think of it the name does ring a bit of a bell. I happen to think it is a most wonderful name, and I will have to check out your version and give it the proper love it deserves. Screw the people. We don't need anyone else! Watch me edit the name of my map now and everyone comes running to comment on it lolol.
