I'm new to the scene, and this is my very first map. I know it could use some work but I thought posting it would be a good way to get some feedback. The map is currently only set up for a slayer game type. The map is a complex maze of corridors and hallways that all eventually lead into a central hub, which is the main focus. wow, looks very nice, nice and claustrophobic gameplay, just the way i like it. Looks like there would be a lot of competition and tight battles, i'm downloading, i honestly swear this is a great map
this map looks nice. i like that there isn't just random boxes everywhere. it looks like there is good strategy to this map. i would suggest some interlocking. it would make the map a lot smoother and can you give more ideas o work with. GOOD JOB!
You don't need a lot of interlocking and geo-merging to make a good map, and this is one of those maps that show it. I really like the layout of the map, it's nice and big. =) Before I DL this, I have a question? What gametypes can be played on this map. By the size of it, I can see some possibilties of Oddball, Infection, KOTH, Slayer (obviously), and maybe Team Slayer (depending on the spawns).
Everything looks straight and such. And much better than so many other maps by people who are new around here. Now the forging looks ok enough for gameplay, but the gameplay is what concerns me. With the many sharp turns, tight corridors...etc it looks like just plain old maze fighting.
Thanks for the comments. Unfortunately, I only have it set up for slayer right now. I probably should have made the other gametypes before it's release to the site, I got ahead of myself. The top layer makes it seem surprisingly open in some areas, so it strays away from just maze fighting, the sniper rifle is actually a pretty useful gun if you pick your spots carefully.
nice amp but it could use some fusing and merging to make it better; this map looks like itd be great for oddball and snipers; good for close combat stuff as well; il DL and try it
I agree. This map really shows planning and consideration first and foremost in it's design. It looks like it would be amazing for a 4v4 or maybe even a 6v6. Great Map. Keep Forging.
