Cornucopia 1.3 [ShootMania]

    Cornucopia is the first map I've created to support the ShootMania gametype. ShootMania (for those who don't already know) is an upcoming competitive PC game (in BETA right now). The object of the game, as with all other FPSs, is to kill or be killed (or at least get lots of points before you do); however, ShootMania manages to have a very different feel than most modern shooters. In many ways Shootmania is throwback to older FPSs (Unreal Tournament, Tribes, etc.), having players face off in an open arena.

    How the Game Works
    In Shootmania each player spawns with the same weapon and abilities ...except...there are no abilities. The weapon players spawn with requires two shots to kill someone; however, there is no regenerative health. In the Halo version of Shootmania players spawn with a Concussion Rifle (Health/Shield/Weapon Damage have been tweaked to allow for two direct Concussion blasts to kill a player).

    There are 5 rounds total (3 minutes each or until there is only one player standing), and each player has only one life per round. The player with the highest score at the end of the 5 rounds wins. Points are awarded for kills, assists, headshots, and sprees.

    In addition to watching out for oncoming fire, players must also be wary of the encroaching "Tornado" that encompasses the arena. As the match progresses the tornado continuously shrinks, reducing the space that players have to move around in. Unfortunately, in Halo 4 you can't have Kill Zones (Tornado) spawn at specific times during the game, so it is impossible to simulate the Tornado.

    This is my first time creating a new gametype, so I need to get some more play-testing done before releasing the map/gametype. So if you have any tips on how to make the gametype more accurate to the original ShootMania or improvements on the map layout let me know!
