Design My initial goal was to make a spiritual successor to the pit in Reach. I wanted to open up the sight lines while slightly condensing the space to discourage drawn out stand offs, as well as provide fresh insights into this type of space. I aimed for a clean aesthetic and utilized the grids as walls to add color to the space, as well as Tempest as the canvas because I find the forge pieces to be less gray and more silver. I also find the skybox of Tempest more interesting, and wanted to leave some of that visiible. Using the grids as walls helped with this design goal as well.
