    Map Description
    This is Convection. Home for epic battles lasting possibly hours, depending on your strategies. I'ts a team based game that uses Multi Flag. Built by my forge clan.



    A DESCRIPTION OF THE MAP

    The basic idea of this map was derived from Lintendo64's famous map, Great Wall. However, this is quite different. The wall faces an entirely different direction. There are two HUGE bases on each side, divided by a massive wall. This wall has only two passage ways, both of which are always under fire. So, what ends up happening is that these overpowered, but equally strong bases are facing eachother. But instead of being able to chuck a grenade or two over two the other side and storm the other base, you must first fight your way through each of the two openings. One is higher than the other. One is located on the ground floor, while the other i several metres up. (A stair case or man cannon is needed to reach this "hole". Each base is completely different, but equal in strength. So the purpose and basic idea of this map was to stop all of that heat in maps between the bases and create more heat in the bases themselves. The bases are very complex and large, and have many turrets for obvious reasons. The map suits almost everyone. Let me explain.

    THE MAP SUITS EVERYONE

    For those of you who like to stay back and avoid dying, (Or camp) then you can, by choice, stay in your base with your friends and grab a turret, or sniper to provide defence. You can grab one of the many weapons located on the map.

    For those of you who love to run straight in and get into the action, charge into the wall. You may take two of the openings, both of which have a treat waiting for you (An awaiting Rocket Launcher sits at the bottom entrance, while a juicy Overshield waits at the top entrance) Both of these items respawn regularly, so keep on your toes. You can run in and grab the flag located deep inside each base. On your way to each base, there are MANY balanced weapons for you to lay your hands on.

    For those of you who like to sneak around, stealthy, thats perfectly fine. There are many hiding spots located almost everywhere. Just finf secreat ways to get into the base once past the wall, and go from there. This is how I like to play, but you can play however you want.

    RECOMMENDED SETTINGS

    Because of the amount of fire power that is directed into the two passage ways, you may want to increase player damage resistance. Try to increase the damage resitance of the Flag Carrier substantially, because of the amount of fire power directed at him while running through the wall. Make sure everyone starts with a decent weapon such as a Battle Rifle AND an Assault Rifle. It is also interesting on some occasions to start everyone with a Battle Rifle and Sword. Two Flags are recommended because of balance reasons. If you dont like long, standoff-type games, try just one flag score to win.

    WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM THIS MAP

    From this map, you can expect those epic, long battles with periodic standoffs, during which time both teams are on their own base and awaiting some to attempt to cross the mega-border. For me, I love this map becuase of the fact that you must use team work. Go alltogether, and you can expect bullets from multiple locations to rip through all eight of you. Go alone, and you may be outnumbered. Try to spread the amount of players going through each passage equally. Try to grab the items in the tunnels and run back to your base.

    Overall, you will be pleased with the neatness and the complete balance of the map. This map does work best with CTF variants, but assault is a possibility. Because of the fact that the map doesnt not have symmetrical bases, it might become unfair (With assault)

    very interesting... have u tested it to see if it really lasts tht long as u say... cause ifit does thts pretty awesome...

    Yes, it has been tested A LOT, trust me. v1 was anyways, but there arent many changes between the two. (Just straightening up objects) But the game lasts forever.

    For some reason, maybe reguarding the website switcheroo, the pics are not working. I will Do my best to fix the problem.

    Why is it that this new site is more superior but cant support actual embeded pics and has [br] next to everything? I personally liked the old site better! But nice map! At least from the words cuz pics aint workin on the new site
