I have an idea for a conquest map. I know the shape I want, but I have an idea for the center territory. The idea is to make a kill ball tunnel. 4 kill balls make a box. You use bubble shields to tunnel through. It would add an interesting aspect to the map. You could throw a grenade in a bubble and pop it. you would aslo be partialy blinded. the only thing I worry about is the noise. I can't hear it but others can, so I am afraid that will make not want to play it. Anyone like the idea???
There could be, but you have to remember the essence of conquest. The point is a constant push and shove, if you restrict flow like that, it will become stalemates with one team on either side of the killball waiting for bubbles to respawn, that, and it would be really hard to advance past a bubble
This could be a way to use the Bubble Shield as Equipment that lets you push forward instead of a means to think twice about advancing, but other than that this idea sounds pretty "meh" for Conquest. The lack of visibility would ruin the "Tug-of-War" fight for the centre territory, for you would not know when and where to shoot, and the Bubble Shields would block your fire. The idea is unique and interesting, but flawed for a gametype like Conquest.
I do smell a nice mini game idea however. You could have a team KOTH gametype, where the hill is inside all 4 kill balls, and you can only survive in the hill with instantly respawning bubble shields at the edges of the kill balls on the other side. Of course, this gametype is simply suicidal and would be unfavorable if not executed properly in the map.
