--Confines-- The Map: This is a small, close quarters map, there are five floors, each made of two platforms. A player can jump between the platforms to reach the top or maneuver to put his/her opponents at a disadvantage. Gameplay: This map plays very fast and works best with fun gametypes. This map will work with all gametypes though certain versions will be a little pointless, escort for example. For more balanced games play without grenades and headshot bonuses off. If you are playing with grenades then a skillful user can bounce them off walls and onto higher platforms, an important tactic. So....and this is what I'm gathering from your pics, it's all in one small shaft with platforms sticking out of the sides? Sounds brutal.
Sorry, not used to these forums so didn't know how to embed. Also it is very brutal, especially with grenades.
Would it be possible to get an idea for what kind of weapons you have placed on map? I'm hinged on whether to download this and take a look or not.
Oh, it is set up for CQB without overpowering everything - 4 SMGs (2 at each end), 4 BRs (two near each end) and 2 ARs in the middle. They respawn quite quickly as there aren't very many of them. I tried it with other weapons but it just didn't work. On asymmetric games there is also a radar jammer at the top and a regenerator at the bottom - these seriously enhance gameplay for objective games.
Yeah, it is different - I've never played anything like it before so I posted it. It took me bleeding ages to merge all those boxes - if you look in the little gaps between them you'll see they are blocked. No one gets out.
Looks very nice. I like how the bottom platforms are impossible to get under. My only qualm with this map is the shear size. It's so tiny, that all you have time to do in between your enemy's spawns is spam 'nades. That, and get to the highest platforms. I love the concept, and the map is clean and well interlocked. 4/5
Thanks, I'll bear that in mind for a possible version 3. The first one was even smaller and wasn't interlocked to such a degree. That was brutal and played more like mario!
