Hey since CoH is my all time favourite game and I have started playing it online on nearly a daily basis i thought I'd ask if anyone here has it and plays it online?

Here is a few excerpts from PC gamers review of the game ofr those of you who haven't heard of it.

This is the finest WWII strategy game I've played. Hell, I'm having real trouble thinking of any strategy game that's this spectacular, this intense, this fun. The only game that comes close is Warhammer 40Kawn of War, made by the same team, and God knows, that's startling enough. But this? This is Dawn of War dialled to 11, played through speakers the size of Canary Wharf, sung by Hitler in a robot suit. Yes, really, that startling.

So: you command 'Dog Company' - soldiers landed on Normandy beach on D-Day, who fight their way through France, liberating villages, defending vital crossroads, escorting supply convoys, and carrying out daring raids on military installations. The fundamentals of RTS gaming remain unaltered: you still drag a big box over your men. You're still dependent on resources, and you're still going to be building a base at the far end of a map. You're still going to leap into a skirmish game against the AI the moment you load up, just to take the biggest tank available for a test drive (and you'll quickly become a victim of the skirmish AI's astonishing aggression). And yes, it's still left click to select, right click to move.

This is a beautiful game. Most impressive is the detail of the battlefields. Rather than collapsing in a prescribed pattern, buildings crumble according to where they're hit. A bazooka aimed at a window won't just smash in the glass - it will detonate in the room behind. A tank clipping the edge of a warehouse won't just take a smidgeon from the building's health bar - it'll take out an entire wall. And the rubble will bounce, tumble, and crush anything caught underneath. I have vivid memories of a
mortar round catching a ceremonial arch during my attack on Cherbourg and demolishing its central span, providing a neat piece of cover for a machinegun nest. CoH does this all the time: you're forever improvising new ways to attack, adapting your plans to the rubble.
