Welcome Back to another installment of Forgehub Community Favorites! I snagged the claim for Community Favorites this month away from Portaleer faster than capping all 5 flags on Midship in less than a minute, like any true cyber athlete should. Portaleer should be back next month however and with Fall almost upon us here at Forgehub, grab your favorite pumpkin flavored snacks or beverage and jump on into this month's Community Favorites!
Here are the nominations and winners for the month of August!
First up in third place we have Gauntlet by II SEGA USA II. Gauntlet is a multilevel arena, which focuses on large elevation changes between the levels of the map. These vertical changes allow for the map to primarily be navigated through the use of jumping up, over, and across other vertical platforms, rather than primarily hard routes. The map features a deep dungeon aesthetic with a chromabox ceiling for a gloomy dark and deep vibe that really makes you question just how deep in this dungeon are you? Gauntlet supports slayer and strongholds and is a sure fire great time for some deep dark vertical gameplay!
In second place this month we have Villa Domus by DoomedSquash023. Villa Domus is an aesthetic map of an ancient Roman villa and its surrounding city streets. This was my personal favorite this month, as I have 6 years of learning Latin under my belt, so I can for sure say that this is a very realistic representation of a Roman villa. Villa Domus in Latin translates to a town house which is a high class roman citizen home. This map is perfect in case you were wanting to create that time machine halo machinima in 79 AD that so many of us have always wanted to create. Great job on recreating history DoomedSquash023!
Finally in first place we have Donnely97 with Industry! With this being their first map posted on the site, and winning a first place vote this month I think we can assume to see great things in the future! Industry is an infection map that takes place in an industrial district and takes after a victorian era aesthetic. A fantastic infection map to play with friends in the coming spooky months! Great job this month Donnely97 and we cannot wait to see what you create in the future!
Ha I bet y'all LOVED that transition. but once again congrats to all winners this month and perhaps we will be finally voting on some of those Halo Infinite themed forge maps in next month's favorites. Keep the forge maps a coming folks!
Later from your favorite,
