I just had an idea of a Halo Gametype. If you've ever played Age of Empires or Age of Mythology, you might understand the strategy side of things. One person acts as a god to several hundred Covenant soldiers as the human acts as a protector of a relic, such as a bomb. The "god" or controller of the Covenant army is able to move them in a way similar to Age of Empires, and the soldiers fight the Spartan as soon as the Spartan can enter their sights. The Spartan chooses weapons and a loadout, and some preferences, such as infinite ammunition or bottomless clip, expand limits to the size of the Covenant armies. The Covenant soldiers, from Grunts to Hunters, can easily be defeated by this Spartan, but as the Spartan has strength in force, the Covenant has strength in numbers. The "god" can have a certain quantity of Covenant ride different vehicles such as Ghosts, Banshees, Wraiths, or Phantoms. He/she can then send the vehicles in a group to the location of the Spartan. After a set amount of time, security shows up to defend the Spartan, but they can be taken out with a little strategy. If the Covenant can successfully kill the Spartan or plant a bomb at his base while preventing him from unarming it, they win. The Spartan wins if he can defend the bomb for a certain amount of time, ten minutes, fifteen minutes, whatever set time there is, without dying, they win. It's like firefight with a better chance for the Covenant to win and more strategic value. How does this sound?
