Colosseum HillsBETA: The Map Colosseum HillsBETA The Gametype Hill Fight This is the first of my three colosseum map types. ---Colosseum Hills with Team Slayer gametype ---Colosseum Flats with Flats Fight gametype ---Colosseum Soccer with Soccer Gametype (NO HAMMERS) -----Hills---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- First off, what seperates this map from most of the other "arena" maps is because most other arena maps concentrate souly on the aesthetic value or gameplay. When I created this map I intended on having a balance between both. Not only is it fun to play, it looks fantastic! I created this map because of the ample amount of other "Colosseum" or "Circle arena" type maps there are. I downloaded a few only to be sadly dissapointed at the effort dedicated, (I look at how i could improve the Cosmetic value, gameplay, and *symmetry of the layout*) My Inspiration for this map was the Roman Colosseum and i took over 15 honest hours interlocking the walls! This is a small map played with swords, increased health and high gravity. The timeline of a typical game on this map would be : --Start at spawn with teamates and get a weapon of the wall if you want. --Run down the tunnels to the entrance to the arena. --Once there, enter the arena trying to get the upper hand. --Die and respawn, Repeat until kill limit is achieved. The gameplay is usually fast paced and Teleport camping is impossible, plus when just entering the arena map players get a momentary increased hp and speed to futher hinder attempts at cheap kills. You really showed the acsletic part of your map well but not enough information about it's gameplay. Your your post was good but I'm sure it didn't impress many people.
reminds me of a european soccer (er..football) stadium. was that your inspiration? either way well done.
Aesthetically it looks really good. (see i can spell) Show some more pics of the inside area, because thats the most important part and we cant see much of it.
the word "beta" isn't a synonym for "version 1" Its used to describe software thats in the testing phase. Just call it "Colosseum Hills V1" also, not to hate, but how is this different than all of the other arena maps on forgehub?
