So I just finished forging a great slayer map and when I played on it with my friend the next day, the colors were gone. All the pieces (I had added blue accents to them) were now white and the map lost quite a bit of its visual appeal without a splash of color. After an intense game, I went back into forge and everything had blue accents again. Has anybody else experienced this? How do I fix it?

If you set them to team color, then blue, it will only be blue in team games. So if you play FFA, they will be neutral. To fix set the color to blue, not team color.

If I do recall correctly I have them for just normal color, not team color. I'll check tommorow. *yawn*

Setting the object color setting to your desired color works for every gametype except one sided objective games, when you switch sides and stuff.

Not sure what happens when you set both though. Don't melt your xbox now...

Turns out you guys were right. I switched both color options to blue on the pieces I wanted and its all good! Thanks! The map is almost done. I have one more question: My friend complains that he keeps falling off the platforms, mainly cause he's not to used to the first person perspective. I admit the platforms are in most places as wide as a 2x2 block, but I never have a problem. Should I really spend time to put in railings or should I tell my friend he needs to look where he's going?

It depends upon your map, and what your intention is. Here's a few questions to think about to help you decide what would be best for your map.

If you fall off do you die, or do you fall to a lower platform?
Is this area of high risk reward, or do you want it to be? Ie maybe its the fastest route across the map, or contains a valuable power weapon.
Would placing railings prevent or make a tactical jump, or drop down you have harder or impossible to use?

I ask those because ultimately the answer is it depends. If you do want to add railings though, look at the bridge medium as it is a 2x2 piece with rails and no lights. So could be a good swap for what it sounded like you currently have.

If you want a more concrete answer you should upload a picture to give everyone an idea of what the area is.

Currently I don't have a picture that's up to date. I'll see about it. In the map you get Jetpack loadouts, and the map takes place above the water. I've already placed quite a few Platform XLs for aesthetics so I dont have many platform/bridge pieces left.
I'm leaning towards no railings because he's the only person who has ever had trouble with it. Here's an older picture from above:

Remember that this is not final. The layout will be the same when I finally release it, but the look is prone to change cause this photo is outdated by two weeks.
