Map Name Origin: ???? It is finally finished! (hopefully) I started this about 2 weeks ago and I have been testing it with the help of many, and I thank you guys. I don't want to talk too much but this is my first official map post, Zombie Island was a noob mistake. The Layout is quite simple. Just imagine a giant square with interlocking curvy bridges connecting a lot of the sides, and Mancannons at two corners. Power weapons spawn in the middle. Weapons: x8 DMRs x4 Needle Rifles x2 Needlers x2 Plasma Pistol x2 Spikers x4 Frags Grenades x4 Plasma Grenades x1 Plasma Launcher x1 Energy Sword x4 Health Stations Now for pics: Thats all the pics for now...More to come. What, no action shots? Just posting to say that this was great fun when I tested it, supporting the weapons incredibly well and promoting movement and control of key points. Excellent job getting this finished, man. And I'm glad the Plasma Launcher's back <3
nice you got it up. i think i played it two times(?) and it was pretty fun. People always complained about the lack of DMRs, but i was always able to find one...so i just probably stole it from them The grav. lifts worked great, set you right on top of the sword, and you cant exactly throw a nade to kill the guy coming across the lift. Nice map, and keep it up
Liked and downloaded. This was pretty fun to test and it was great to see it improve from version to version. The map you're currently working on looks even more promising as well, I'm sure I'll be testing that in the future and I can't wait to see how it's improved.
Really enjoyed the map man and good to see it completed. Also good to see a fat "8xDMR" on the weapon list . Really like how original this map is! good luck on your next map!
Nice, I think the DMR problems you had at the start have all been alleviated. Just out of curiousity, why didn't you decide to wall off the back of the bases? Make them feel a little more permenant and more durable for the odd Stockpile game. Just noticed because it's pretty striking in the screenshots. Also, Focus Rifle starts for the win. You should have a focus rifle on the map, honestly. Would kick so much ass.
Haha Focus Rifle ftw. honestly i thought about putting one on here lol. In answering the base question, the back is walled off but if you mean the entire opening then yeah its because I couldn't find a non-awkward looking structure to fit back there.
I just finished playing a quick round of Halo Reach with my family and I convinced them to give your map a shot. Clutch now stands as one of favorite user maps thus far and found no problems at this moment. And I hope to see more maps come from you yet.
I just realized, this map would look super cool if, instead of just floating, it looked like it was part of a courtyard between some skyscrapers way up in the air (I think I did a really bad job describing that :/ ) Oh well, that would probably be impossible to pull off anyway. Your title screenshot is pretty awesome though. I can't wait to play Infernus again too, that map is a big step ahead from Clutch, and I mean that in a good way, I'm not saying Clutch is bad or anything.
I know what you mean and yes Infernus is a big step up from Clutch. I already have made some changes to Infernus btw. Testing again tonight hopefully
