Re: "Close..." a CQB map from xianoa please embed your pics and this is in the wrong section. Go to forge discussion and go to map testing post it there o have a mod move it.
Re: "Close..." a CQB map from xianoa the pictures are fairly large, id rather not possibly break the page borders or something.
Re: "Close..." a CQB map from xianoa Welcome to ForgeHub! this might not be 100% correct, but i think embedding your pics is a requirement for posting your map at ForgeHub. You might want to check with a mod.. just ask it in the shout box im sure one will respond. Another requirement of ForgeHub is that your thread title should ONLY be your map title and nothing else. Change the thread title to just "Close"
i updated my OP to what you said LIGHTSOUT225 and the website resized the images. thanks for the helpz
I like how the map is in the part of foundry that is usually blocked off. It definitely gives it a darker feel. You may want to take a look at the Forging 101 section to learn how to Interlock boxes together to create a clean playing surface. Its a really helpful tool that many use here to create original and fun maps, Welcome to Forge Hub!
can you get an overview pic, use interlocking please, and if you want tested, put in map testing forum.......
originally this map was made before i or many people were aware of this 'feature'. unfortunately, i would have to tear the map apart to use interlocking, which really is just aesthetic in this case. as far as i can tell all it does is merge the two objects to remove the visible edge, but the ghost edge still makes you 'bump' up a little. but if thats what you seriously want me to do, you wil have to wait for me to get my wireless xbox adapter back [next thursday] and give me a few hours to re-do the map. overhead view is, as far as i can tell, impossible because i cannot get the camera to see the majority of the map from a high vantage point. i could attempt a crude drawing maybe ...
i would understand if it caused problems with the map, but if you download it and play you will see that interlocking would only be an aesthetic bonus, and a small one at that. again, i started making this the week i got the maps, then i stopped because my xbox died. i finally resumed a few days upon its return and ive been adding to it since. its had 0 downloads so far :/ oh well. it was enjoyed by the guys who played this match enjoyed it.
