Close Quarters Created by PointBlank A Brief overview of the map: (A quick MS Paint to help with the feel of the level) Map Description Close Quarters is a very small Tactical Map created for A special version of Team SWAT, CQ SWAT. This map is perfectly symmetrical and is best played with 4 to 8 people. The focus of the map is the wall dividing the map in half, stopping the 2 teams from leaving their base. What the point of this map is to use cover effectively as it is at perfect crouching height that blocks headshots and short grenade throws. This map is for people who like to play Tactically. Although Spawn killing may seem to be a problem from the pictures, I've tested it out and came to the conclusion that you have to move out towards at least halfway through your side of the map before even a grenade can reach you unless the other team runs all the way up to the wall which you can easily punish them for, or just as easily crouch and be protected from all gunshots. A list of weapons and equipment on the map: - 4 battle rifles - 4 covenant carbines - 2 sniper rifles (0 extra clips) - 8 frag grenades - 8 plasma grenades - 2 deployable covers If any problems arise with gameplay because of the map, please leave an informative comment with the specific problem and I will make a new version with corrections. looks really well set out, suited for SWAT. The one thing I'd suggest is completely interlock the double box floors. I like the way you've set out out all of the walls but after another look, they dont look high enough to give much cover.
LOL! At first I didn't understand the map. I was like where's the wall? What the? WTF, oh oh oh i get it. Lol looks sweet.
I really agree with you, this map would be way better if you interlocked the floor. When the floor is not interlocked it makes obnoxious bumps and grenades get stuck in it. If you rectified this problem your map would be incredible. I love the rest of your map, you have an interesting set of weapons and some creative cover with the walls. This map looks very promising, great work and keep forging!
This seems like a very original approach to a swat map. But I can see a few things that you can clean up. Use some more boxes to interlock the floor. And as another person said, those walls should be a little bit higher to provide cover. Because the map is small, spawn killing would be a problem here, because there seems to be only two sides. Maybe you could make a bigger map with the same ideas in mind. And another thing, you should keep only the SWAT weapons on the map; take out the sniper rifle. But seriously thank you for making a SWAT map. This site needs more SWAT oriented maps.
I recommend merging all the boxes on the floor together, It'll make your make more smooth. But other than that, it's great.
