Claustrophobia Created by jng07 Supported Game types: Map allows all game types but small 2v2 or 3v3 game types are recommended. Map Description The map variant Claustrophobia is many things but perfect. It is completely enclosed and is very, very small. The map is arranged in a U shape building, with an entrance on either side to the underground U shape tunnel. The map has 4 timed events which add to the excitement and chill of playing on this map variant. The timed events include; #1. At the beginning of a match there is a rocket launcher placed at the centre of the map, which is only available for 30 seconds or it gets enclosed in a box for the remainder of the round. #2. You may wonder why there is a dumpster located at the front end of the map? This is because at one and a half minutes into the game a Grav lift spawns and lifts the dumpster off the ground revealing an extended room which includes the Spartan laser and two maulers. #3. There is a custom powerup at the centre of the map that spawns two minutes into the game. This custom powerup enables the user to walk faster and gives them an 150% damage resistance and damage modifier, along with unlimited ammo for a time period of 30 seconds. (if using Funhouse game type variant) The only bad part is that it reveals you to both allies and enemies for that period of time. #4. There are two barriers at the back of each tunnel entrance that appear thirty seconds into the game providing you with slightly more cover from foes. The map was designed by myself (jng07) and I was assisted by Frostyluke to edit the map, making it more fun for all people who play on it. I have tried my hardest to interlock most scenery to give it a smooth professional look to impress my friend Drewage, because he usually finds the parts of a map that are wrong or un-even . Recommended game type objectives Infection: At the start of an infection map the humans are safe. The zombie is locked into the Spartan laser room enabling the humans to find equipment and the weapons they want to attempt to survive with. WARNING! If you act smart and throw in a grenade to kill the zombie you will be letting your team down, Because the zombie is then re-spawned outside the Spartan laser room and has full access to you and your team-mates. Assault and CTF: In these game types there is no rush for the flag or bomb! This Is because the objective is underneath in the tunnel next to the Energy sword and the "go to" point is in the Spartan laser room which is opened one and a half minutes into the game. So kick back and relax (or kill some people) until the Spartan laser room is open then strike. Weapons Battle rifle X2 Located in the corners of each teams start points next to the entrances of the tunnel. Shotgun X2 Located at the first corner of the tunnel on each side. Energy sword X1 Located at the centre of the tunnel. SMG X2 Located at the back side of the tunnel entrances on both sides. (also with 1 Grenade with each) Plasma pistol X2 Located at the back side of the entrances to the tunnel, half way up the ramp. Needlers X2 Located by each A sign on both sides. (also 1 Plasma grenade with each) Maulers X2 Located on either side of the Spartan laser. Power weapons Rocket launcher X1 Located at the centre of the room for 30 seconds. Spartan laser X1 Located along the narrow corridor at the front of map, only accessible one and a half minutes into the game. (also with 2 Spike grenades) Flamethrower X1 Located behind the rocket room almost all the time. (unless being used) Advice from the creator and designer If one of your team members or foes gets wise and locks themselves into the rocket room, I recommend throwing a grenade to the side of the room because the wall does not prevent them from coming to any harm. Also fusion coils spawn inside and go bang if you do this. On team games I recommend that as soon as the Spartan laser room is open, enter it and attempt to destroy the Grav lifts. The dumpster does not re-spawn again but it takes a little time for it to disappear. Use this time to prepare yourself for battle if you are not already prepared. Also recommended; That you attempt to grab the Sword and Rocket launcher. (while available) and attempt to collect the custom powerup because it provides you and your team with a very helpful and tactical advantage. Also recommended; That you use the Funhouse game type variant to achieve the most fun out of this map variant. _________________________________________________ Rocket launcher room The Flamethrower is very helpfull in small maps (HINT HINT) If your enemys are favouring close range weapons grab the needler The rocket launcher is essential to an early lead in the game The shotgun is an essential tool to keep the tunnels clear The laser can be usefull to clear paths for your team Use the narrow hallway to the spartan laser room to your advantage with close range weapons _________________________________________________ Many Thanks To all who leave comments and download this map. Also many thanks to the very helpful and kind friend Drewage for his keen eye for mistakes, and to all friends who tested and supported me in the making of this map. Especially Frostyluke for being online and testing the map whether he wanted to or not . THANKS = ) P.S Me and Frostyluke should be creating the rest of the Funhouse game variants in the next month or so, so keep posted for those changes! Download Claustrophobia Download Funhouse
Thanks for the long description. It helped. As for the map, it is really good! i love the gameplay and i love the way it is made. If you maybe take off the rocket then it would be fun. it just isn't made for this kind of map. Overall rating: 4/5
i only have one problem that is you have quite a lot of power weapons i would take some out and add some more BR's and AR's
Seems like a teeny tiny map, loaded with about 20 power weapons, so i'm thinking that the gameplay would be a bit unfair for those who cant get to one intime, and it looks a little sloppy, theres a few spots that could be fixed easily
I'm guessing you wrote the description in Notepad and then pasted onto here, which explain the complete lack of spacing. Its a little hard to read but it seems like unless you grab a power weapon you're screwed, and if you do die then there's really no way back. Also, that title's been used about 100 times.
