City of the Dead (Remastered) I am constantly re-looking and improving my work, and today, I am proud to release the most well done version of the map. It is a big step up from the previous versions, and the one I feel most confident about in all aspects. It looks great, plays great and fits a full 16 just fine. If you are looking for hectic infection map with quality, I do believe this is one map you might not want to pass up. Something I figured out a while ago, is in all infection maps, the natural goal in mind is to survive, and what better way to do that by camping? Well after years of designing infection maps, It became very frustrating to fight people's urge to accomplish survival by camping. So... You know what they say, "If you cant beat them, join them". It took a lot of thinking, but I found out this is actually the right map style to make for normal infection maps, you just have to know how to do it right. I have successfully managed to make propose built, original camp spots just for the humans, so that they have a reason to play infection maps again. I know when I play someones infection map, first thing I look for is a camp spot (I'm a hypocrite, I know) and when I find there is only rooms in empty halls with 3 different ways in, the map suddenly feels very generic, and lacking of personalty in game play. Of course I did not make the spots ridiculously Overpowered and easy to camp. I took careful looks and tests to make sure zombies were not out matched when facing the humans in their new found and complex camping spots. Surprisingly, what I found was that it actually became more easy for the zombies to hunt, because the way I set up my camp spots effectively limited the humans shooting and visibility direction, but also gave zombies a bit more cover and team work options naturally. Now a zombies can distract a human though my custom window slits while the other comes around the back with out being seen, and snatches his prize. But this does not necessarily mean the humans are boring and hard to play. Now it all depends on the players skill and team work to properly setup at a given location, and watch their backs. There are four buildings to chose from, and two of them lead underground in the sewers. Inside the sewers, there are three more camp locations to pick from. Each one is different. This is one of the camp spot that is underground. City Hall Human Spawn points. One of the four buildings to camp in. Again, it is unique compared to the others. Another camp area underground. Another building to chose from. I did not show all areas and parts of the map so it would not all be spoiled. I really hope you guys enjoy this map as much as I did. The game type is pretty traditional. Zombies Are week, but fast, humans start with magnums, and guns are placed around the map.
