I have been a big fan of halo for a long time. through the years, I've found that when my friends and I had finished (or got bored of) killing each other in custom games we would spend hours just racing around the map in various vehicles. So, with this in mind I have created two race tracks in the Foundry level. This map, Circus, is the easier of the two maps. It is a somewhat short circut but is filled with some really fun little trick spots. There is an "excite bike" like small jump section, a bouncing ball pit, and a mancannon jump to a suspended upper level. This map is a ton of fun and my friends and I put a lot of effort into it. ENJOY! The thing is... the screens do no justice to the map you really just gotta drive it! Oh, and if you test it out...please leave comments on my b.net map page..... http://www.bungie.net/Forums/posts.aspx?postID=15477502 Thanks! Solar
Great map and I love the variety to it too. But I still don't know how to make shield doors horizontal. Do you have to do the save changes then end trick?
Um I liked the soccer ball room. I feel that it did not use the map to its fullest, it could have been bigger. The other thing is that it did not flow smoothly, maybe it could blocked better?
This was the smaller and first of the two maps that I made so far. It was meant to be more of a quick thing that people could do while waiting for more people to join their party. As for the flow, I personally think it is pretty good (for a smaller race) but I have played it a lot, so I may be a bit biased Thanks for your imput!
Alright maybe one more AJ Review then I study for finals. Description: 4 out of 10 Pictures: 7 out of 10 Links 2 out of 4 Overall: 6 out of 10 I understand that it is hard to talk about a race map, but I can't break the rules. Your pictures are coll, but if they had some people actually racing in them it what be better. This map does look good, but ny the AJ Review rules the post itself is just above average.
Great looking map, looks like alot of fun, i have it cued, should be a great time tomorrow to answer your question, simply go to forge, scroll through the menu to the shield wall you want to use, orient it in the way you want, then press start > save as new (or save changes) then after its done saving hit end game, and when you load the map back up, your shield wall will be floating where you left it when you saved. Hope this helps
I sent him an message before your reply....Yep, thats how it is done and as far as I know it is the only way to do it. I made full loop-d-loop using the save and close dealy with shield doors and mancannons... go check it out HERE
I can't wait to download, but first i must delete some old stuff because of the 100 custom content limit
the soccer ball part was the best. everything else was kind of meh. Good for wasting time but not for serious races
Somewhat agree with the above. The map is a little rough around the edges, but since it's clearly just for messing around that's not such a big deal, and there are some pretty cool and creative things going on. The soccer ball room is awesome.
