Circlopse V1 Created by SPOC XLI Supported Gametypes: FFA and Team Slayer (More gametypes coming soon after testing phase) Map Description This circular map was created in the skybox of sandbox. A structure was built in the middle of the map to house the overshield. This round map is split up into 4 sections with 2 bases protruding from opposite ends and 2 sniper nests slightly elevated over the rest of the map. This map was created with most ledges covered to prevent falling to your death. I'll admit that I'm very new at map making and still havent perfected the spawns so i would appreciate if the community would help me test the spawns and weapon placements. I'm open to ANY suggestions. This map is only set up for team slayer and FFA at this moment but all other game types will be created after the testing phase. The sniper nest can be reached by jumping off of the platform that is just below it (where the bruteshot spawns) Oh, I didn't rate my own map. Assumptions FTW! Apparently someone rated it but didn't leave a comment.
This map looks like it would be fun for KotH, but its just a huge circle and thats about it. Maybe if you added something a bit more I would DL it. Also you don't need to put a sniper on every single map you make people. This map looks like it would be terrible if you put a sniper on it. I would probably just put some rockets in the middle and leave it as that.
SPOC! Holy crap man, I haven't seen you on here in ages. I've got your map queued and I'll return with more feedback, but from what I can tell this looks like it would be a pretty nice BR warmup arena to practice strafing. Spawns are always a bit tricky on circular arenas, so I'll take a look when I get home today and see if I can give you some ideas.
Yeah squid, I'm still around but I normally just come to find new maps. I only comment on them if they're really good. I appreciate the comment, i'm already getting ideas from the comments i've recieved thus far. I'm excited to see what sandbox does to this community as soon as everyone gets their hands on the new maps.
i like the map alot, the red and blue bases, seem a little dull though, like they can be defended easily or so it seems. If you added more than one entrance way it would make it alot better but it still looks really nice.
OK, Im not really into these arena style maps, but if I was, I would like this. I can see the spawns being very hard on here. Im sure that in an FFA game, as soon as you start you can see all of your opponents. I would at least build somewhat of a semi structure on the other 2 sides that dont have the bases. That would probably help spawns and starts a little bit. This looks really cool though.
The map looks really great, but im wondering how you made the circle so perfect. When I try, I always mess up.
Yes maybe for KotH. Or maybe just for a Warmup 1vs1 BR duell i think this map is perfect for this. very good idea to make these type of map good job.
Yeah i wanna know how the circle i so awesome and my only suggestions would be to put like walls from the midway point on the outside wall from the base exit to the sniper nest in my opinion the would perfect it
Not critisising the map but it looks like a grifball arena, from what i can see theres no obvious route to the sniper nests. its not really a sniper map unless high respawns a low clips. but it looks well forged and layered. Fatgezzer
