Don't forget when you shoot a vehicle with a chopper it screws up the traction so the vehicles loose control so that would just be stupid. :-\
When you get shot by a Wraith you still lose traction. The point we be, no possibilty of mice stealing the cats vehicle, and now cats must splatter to get a kill (this can be accomplished by setting their damage to "0%."
How would that fix Mice being able to steal the vehicles? And when you get shot by a Wraith you tend to just get blown away. When you get shot with a Chopper it tends to make you skid and its non-stop shots hitting you so you just keep skidding until you flip. Which would result in; if you start getting shot, you're screwed. No chance of the mice to escape.
A chopper could fit in the jail and the teleporter exit technique could be removed. Now a cat would have to get in the Chopper and destroy the radio anteneas to get out of the jail, giving the mice no chance of stealing his vehicle. Also, mongeese are a lot faster then Choppers, so you can easily escape if you maneuver them well.
OMG what do you not understand...if you get shot once, ONCE you will flip and lose your traction completely
My plan was to wait for standoff and see the layout of that map then start brainstorming ideas or even rats nest as the name implies *edited by Yavi* does no one realize you can edit posts and not double post sorry
If someone in a Chopper is firing, they're not boosting, so you have a chance of getting away. Also the chopper will allow you to keep people from taking the wraith, and you can't ride on the back of it as a mouse either.
And finally, one Chopper shot does not flip you over instantly. It takes several, WELL-AIMED shots to flip you completely. SUre you'll get pushed a bit, but not massacred.
I could have sworn I said I did not want to see any more chopper suggestions because we tried it and it doesnt work...using choppers was our first attempt and it failed...NOW DROP IT PLZ!
I played it a few hours ago with you guys and it was great! and i don't get why people would want the chopper... that would ruin it.
Wraiths are perfect. You can get flipped (fun), still escape a follow-up killing blow from the wraith by landing right back on your wheels (fun), go around picking up the occasional mice who may have lost their mongooses and then ride as a team (fun), and the challenge of outmanoeuvring the wraiths and predicting where they're going next when you're the last mouse left = FUN. Overall I don't think there's much room to criticise after all the playtesting that's been going on, it's merely a question of whether you like this kind of game or not. Thumbs up from me.
You need to calm down about this, people were trying to be helpful by pointing out that they at least thought choppers would work better. If you had already tested it with choppers in the jail, that's all you had to say, and the problem would be solved.
I loved this in halo 2 so I'm definitely trying this. I made a map similar on Sandtrap with choppers on which the choppers can't shoot till the very end, it works out well but I prefer playing on Valhala with wraiths anyways.
