id have to say some of the walls look a little slanted, and my horrible ocd cant take the pain of looking at slanted boxes or walls. its an easy fix, but it helps the eyes
Ivory Snake, the sword actually is a match for the shotgun. However, if I were to take out the shotgun, there would be no match for the sword. If I were to take out the sword, there would be no match for the shotgun. Your points are right, but if I make the map with the specific intent of being able to kill the shotgun wielder, then the sword becomes overpowered and everything else obsolete. Also, to whoever said that the walls looks slanted or crooked, none of them are. It's just the angle I took the picture at. I've gone through the map many times to get rid of any crooked walls, boxes, or various other inanimate objects.
what i mean when i say that a shotgun is no match for a sword is that, if you have good reflexes, you can easily get a killing shot off at a sword-wielder as he lunges, it is fair to have both as long as there is multiple counters for the shotgun because the sword won't always do the job. i understand your point it's just i think it could be improved with the addition of an incinerating weapon (grenade) or something like that
That's true, but then wouldn't that be skill doing the job, not the shotgun? If a person takes out a sword wielder at close range, shotgun or not, that takes skill and practice to get the timing right. Also, there is a Flame Grenade. Next to the shotgun. There is also a flamethrower in the map, underneath the side with the active camo.
true, but in that case i wouldn't place the flame grenade next to the shotgun, because then the shotgunner would have (what is in my opinion) an extra power weapon.
Meh. I think it's balanced. DL it, play it for a round or two with your friends on slayer or team slayer, and you'll see.
ok, i was just suggesting ways that i thought you could improve your map, but as long as your happy with it it should be good, i can't believe i forgot mah colours in that last post!
Forgot your colors... Such a shame... Thanks for the suggestion, but in my opinion the map is balanced as is. I've done extensive testing with friends and friends of friends, and there have been no problems with anything being overpowered unless they also had OS or AC with it, but that's pretty much the point of powerups.
yeah thats fair enough, now you can go criticize one of my maps and we can have a long discussion about how to improve it (lol)
