Yo yo yo! This is my first map in basically forever. I was just creatively burned out, but yesterday morning, inspiration struck. This is the result: Cardiac Falls. It was basically a one-day, four-hour forge, but I think keeping it somewhat simple and letting it flow organically worked to make for a solid design (I hope anyway). I'm looking for testers and feedback so I can start slapping a coat of polish on this. The map is symmetrical on a single axis (like Countdown). It has a semi-open, semi-arena, sorta-MLG-friendly feel; hopefully it will inspire a lot of interesting gameplay. It is floating but doesn't feel like it (unless you're plummeting to your doom - nowhere on the actual map can you see underneath it). It has pretty pretty scenery. It's solidly forged but about 2000 under budget, so hopefully framerate won't be an issue. It's meant to accommodate intense 4 vs. 4 combat, especially slayer. Weapons right now include: 1 sniper, 1 sword, 1 concussion rifle, 1 grenade launcher, and the usual assortment of DMRs, needle rifles, and so forth. Screenshots. (Note: there are soft kill zones on most or all of the exposed high areas - I didn't want to waste a bunch of objects making ceilings or extending my walls upward to infinity. So if it looks like a jetpacker's wet dream, it's really not.)
