I have been looking into a capture card for quite some time now and I just had a few questions. If I bought this capture card would I: 1. Need to have a computer right next to it (or in the same room)? 2. Need anything extra besides what it comes with? 3. Have to take apart my Xbox 360 or computer? 4. Have to plug it into the USB port? 1. Depends on the length of cable you have. It would probably be a good idea. 2. From what I can tell, a VCR. 3. No on the Xbox and Yes to the computer. It's a PCI card so you'll have to open your desktop computer. 4. Nope. It's not a UPS device.
