I got my capture card recently and have been dying to try it out, so i got that chance today. I set up everything, recorded, then went to Pinnacle Studio 12 to edit. I tried to open the file, but it was the wrong file type. I need someone with a working capture card to help me out!

Ok, I don't know but this might help. I have an older version of pinnicle studio but here it goes.

Ok, go to the capture tab, go to the settings at the bottom, make sure that it's importing video from your capture card, not something else, and then make sure that your capturing in MPEG-High Quality (DVD).
It should show up in the edit tab on the upper left. bring down the list and look for what you named your video.

Sorry if its unclear, its late, just went to a haunted house and know I cant stop looking behind me.

    Love,
