Camp Quarantine

    Welcome, one and all, to Camp Quarantine. We expect you will be staying a while, so get please do your best to remain comfortable.

    The Idea:
    Camp Quarantine came as a result of 2 desires: The first was to build a map in a unique location in Forge. The second was to have it be an outdoor, asymmetrical map built within Forge World's natural geometry.

    The Story:
    One of the greatest kept secrets in the UNSC, Camp Quarantine is a military camp designed to weed out inferior SPARTAN-II's. Before being deployed into battle, the Spartans are tested one last time- against each other. The area is designed to test CQ, mid, and long-range combat as well as becoming familiar with various Covenant technologies. By utilizing various height advantages, enclosed spaces, and even a captured Ghost vehicle, the Spartan's enlisted at Camp Quarantine have no shortage of tools at their disposal to aid in this survival of the fittest.
    The Weapon List:
    x6 Assault Rifle @ 30 sec respawn & 2 spare clips
    x5 DMR @ 60 sec respawn & 2 spare clips
    x4 Magnum @ 30 sec respawn & 2 spare clips
    x1 Sniper Rifle @ 180 sec respawn & 1 spare clip
    x2 Shotgun @ 180 sec respawn @ 0 spare clips
    (FFA: x1 Shotgun @ 160 sec & 1 spare clip)
    x1 Spartan Laser @ 140 sec respawn
    x2 Needler @ 80 sec respawn & 2 spare clips
    x2 Plasma Grenades @ 15 sec respawn
    x4 Frag Grenades @ 15 sec respawn
    Other:
    x1 Ghost @ 180 sec respawn. Team Slayer & FFA only.
    x2 Evade @ 60 sec respawn

    The Bases:
    Each base is equipped with the following: x1 DMR, x1 Needler, x1 Plasma Grenade, & x1 Evade AA. Please use without discretion.

    Very interesting map.

    I like the aesthetics and the overall feel and the fx really fits the map well.

    I'm real picky about maps and I'm keeping this one.

    My only problem is i noticed a small area that if you accidently jump into you will get stuck without jetpacks and are forced to suicide. (I can't remember where it is on the map but it's next to what looks like a park bench)

    The thumbnail picture can't have any wording on it (forum picture) the map looks okay but I see a lot that could be fixed up, hope the best to your map tho. (I recommend improvements.)

    @GTA_Tom_V: I appreciate the feedback and I'm honored you will be holding onto it. I've got quite a few improvements to make to it this weekend and I'll be submitting version 2 to the Tester's Guild this time before officially posting. I found out there are many things to fix during a play test today. They didn't like the Next Gen FX, so I'm glad someone did haha. As for the area you got stuck on, unfortunately there are many "park bench" structures that are used to place weapons on so if you could find out exactly which one, that would be awesome.

    Fair enough about having wording in the thumbnail pic. Duly noted. However, it's also a forum rule that you be constructive with your criticism. if you could specify improvements it would help more than saying you "recommend improvements."

    Anyways, I got a chance to have some people comb over it today and mention some things I will be working on soon. A couple of these will be the complete reworking of the neutral base and new flag placement to prevent it from being too easy to score flag captures.
