Exactly, not the first time Treyarch has based their game off of other's success. But it works and that's enough for me. BTW, I hope that we can all agree that this is not a WWII shooter, mainly because of the presence of helicopters. Also, I am 99% sure that at the end of the video, some guy is holding an AK-47/AKM. My guess is that it is set during the Vietnam War but it could be set in the Korean War or something.
WWII - Now is incredibly hard to understand because way too much happens between those to endpoints. On one side we have global communications, nukes, mach 3 planes, helicopters, guided bombs, guided missiles, holographic sights, HUD, and a giant pile of other stuff. On the other side we have giant radios, prop planes, dumb bombs, and few automatic weapons. Considering that the helicopter firing missiles (which you are watching from inside the cockpit) has no HUD, a canopy similar to a Cobra and not Apache, and is firing Hydra 70's this looks more like a Vietnam era thing. The biggest difference between then and now is electronics so this whole thing seems plausable.
All I want from Treyarch is a arcade style shooter like **** Zombies...if they were smart they would actually make it for the arcade. However, I'm 99% sure that it won't be better than MW2, and I'm 100% sure that I won't be playing it anytime soon due to its release date. Reach or MW2 for me. Even if I do want to play a shooter that isn't MW2 it will probably be bad company. I want to see a CoD set in the foootcher.
