I have been using Cinema 4D for a bit now, but this is the first time I have attempted to create my own polygons using points on blueprints. I am working on a Halo 3 version of the Assault Rifle and have almost 1 dimension of the gun completed; once I have all of the dimensions done, I will play a large scale game of connect-the-dots in 3D. Here is what I have so far:

So once again, this is the first time that I have created models this way; if anyone is a c4d pro, I would love some advice. Also, if anyone has a spartan model on c4d and wouldn't mind sharing it, you would make my life unimaginably easier (planning on making a machinima-animation blend)

Looks good so far, I know nothing of C4D but would love to learn. How much experience would you say you have on a scale from "supernoob" to "uber-awesome-pro" at C4D? Just curious as to how much knowledge it actually takes to get the ball rolling like you have.

I would say that I am between decent and pretty good. I've had the program for a while now, but I have spent that time learning most of the basics. It is pretty easy to learn to use and online guides are very helpful.
