Yeah, I seen that... I wasn't expecting to win more than one prize, I just wanted to submit multiple maps to further increase my chances of actually winning.
B3NW, report me all you wish. I couldn't care less. If the forum had a flipoff button, rest assured it would not go unused. Also, I think the threatening of that sounds like harassment. Be careful, some idiotic twerp might come along and report your posts because he's pissy. Anywho, back to not-time-wasting discussion. As far as multiple winnings go, I personally think that being able to submit more than one map is a trap for mediocre forgers. Some of us can pump out more than one superb map in the time alotted quite easily, many won't be able to get that kinda of quality going for more than one map. I personally am only going to work on my main map, but, should any time be left over (which it probably will, there's over a month left) I'll take it up at that time. Not being able to win twice makes sense, but I still plan on winning all the xboxes. *cue evil laugh* EDIT: Thank you Ladnil, I just saw your post. Finally, someone responds to the immaturity I've been dealing with.
Personally, I've already got one map (Genome) polished to my satisfaction since I was trying to get that one done in time for MLG's first submission deadline. A few days of testing to finalize the matchmaking weapon layout is all it should take to have that map ready to go for submission to Bungie. I suppose I should figure out any possible map breaks with the jetpack too. So yeah, I'll likely have another map done in time for Bungie submission in a second category. I actually have a second map forged and have been testing it already, but I'm unhappy with it as is. I will probably just polish that one up and submit it to Bungie. A third map very unlikely.
I've been working on my current map for quite some time now and I definitely plan on submitting it. We've got a month or so until the deadline so I plan on submitting a second map for sure. I've decided to go with the symmetrical category for my second map because I consider it the easiest and least time needed to work on in a sense, and I'm going on a vacation in a couple weeks so I need these next 2 weeks to work on it, and there's no way I can get an Invasion map done in that time... not a good one at least.
his posts are discussion points, and not useless bags of flame. its a valid point that it is annoying that his maps cant be entered, and he is helping let others who come to this thread know. i personally am not going to start. but may i say, genome has a pretty decent chance of winning this thing.
Grrr. They haven't. It's not R rated. Anyway, can't you enter to get a map in, but not be eligible for the xbox?
Genome looks fantastic, so it wouldn't surprise me at all if it did that well in the competition. The map I've been working on in my limited spare time over the past month is finally finished (or at least, in its final stages), but it's not the kind of map I would submit in this contest. On the other hand, I've broken ground on an entirely new map for this contest, which I think will be a good one. There are a lot of expert forgets out there who are better than me though (of course, I'm not saying I'm terrible ;D), so I don't really expect to win. Still, it should be fun to do.
Excessive flaming and insulting of members = lock. And let it be known that saying "Reported" in your posts doesn't do anything for me.
