I feel that Bungie has not fully recognized how successful Forgehub is, in fact it's almost like they are ignoring it. Despite their small cover up in one weekly update. But I can almost garantee that more traffic is here on Forgehub than Bungie, mainly because people only visited Bungie for forge related fun. It's also very easy to see that the forum system here is working much more effeciently than at Bungie. The system is much more friendly here, no more "1000000000+ dnwlds! ZOMG!!!" Do you agree? Comments? Concerns? Ideas?
This belongs in general chat, methinks. Other than that, your concept of Bungie.net is wrong, they get loads more visits and views than us, I went there for a long time just for the updates. I'm sure that's what a lot of people do, don't forget Screenshots, and saved films as well, which get a lot of traffic.
Bungie represents more than one game, and any more recognition will cause our servers to burn out, and our forums to be flooded by "1 000 000+ DLS ZOMG map threads."
Well of course they don't know what frog hub is but back on topic, I'd rather have more of a private community with less spam than bungie. Imagine all the spam and in the end, we would all be overrun with crappy maps along with crappy map posts.
Thanks for reminding me Projectt. Yeah, we are going to have control of Bungie Favourites for our two weeks soon.
Yes, bungie is ignoring how successful forgehub is though they made the game.. don't let our egos get ahead of us.
It is indeed too late, sorry. We've been mentioned on the bungie front page numerous times (it's at something around 10 now I think) We're recognized enough methinks.
I think enough people know of Forgehub but I'm not sure Bungie recognize the quality of some of the maps being made. I'm looking forward to seeing what Forgehub puts up on the Bungie favorites.
I think b.net has more traffic, sorry. The forums here are comprised of a closer-knit community, though. Also, the rank means something, and the post counts help show how active one is in the community. I was promoted to a heroic member yesterday, but that has no meaning because around 30% of the community was promoted as well. (well, maybe not that much). Forgehub is a better system, but is not as popular as b.net, sorry.
Actually, I looked it up in the WHOIS domain registration information database at networksolutions.com. It says they both have a traffic rating of 4, meaning the trafic is very close (of course I can't get a perfect detail on it). Edit: Who cares about forgehub getting more recognition from bungie. Look at the affiliates pages on both. We don't even recognize them, so why would they return the favor? If you ask me, it doesn't matter, we don't need any more ForgeNubs (I'll add the term coiner's name when I find it) around here. Bungie also makes other games (mentioned before). To base their community solely on Halo 3 would be wrong for them to do. Soooo, just forget about being recognized by bungie! the Bungie forums are a bit confusing and cluttered for my tastes. Its alot more relaxed here, and easier to find what forge maps you want
Yeah, it seems that every time we get Bungie flood, the servers have trouble, the maps section post quality drops, and a lot of members get -rep and are reported.
