Are you seriously that dense? In addition to pointing out that your moronic friend stole my map, he also stole Fish Bowl. Nice find. EDIT: Link to my post about the map theft in the community watch thread.
I'm sure anyone who has been here long enough knows that I DESPISE Racetracks... this is the only one to ever catch my eye. Glim, if you can continue to make Racetracks without the honor system, I shall praise you and dub you all time racetrack expert... hell, I'll dub you now!
That's a lot of weight on my shoulders that I didn't ask for, but I won't lie and say I don't like the praise. I have an idea for another grief-free racetrack that I'm going to give a go when I finally finish my current project, so hopefully I won't disappoint you!
very nice map. ive played enough racing maps where people would just cheat. Even people i play with on this TRY to cheat but fail LOL. good job :squirrel_giggle:
SAVAGE Ranking Originality: 5/5 Difficulty: 3.5/5 Ability to actually race with people: 5/5 Overall: 4.8/5 My only thing I would want would be to add more difficulty because besides the turn its very simple. Other than that its amazing. Its one of the few tracks were you can keep playing over and over and actually do real races on. A MUST DOWNLOAD!
lol. about making it more difficult... yeah my friend powersnowdemon and i got bored and made it like twice as long. if you guys want THE UNOFFICIAL Bungie 500 - 2, its right here: http://www.bungie.net/Forums/posts.aspx?postID=16809082
i downloaded this map about a week ago and i never get sick of it!lol the turn is really scary going over it (i think) but awesome map great job
Just wondering but, would you mind if I used Start/Finish line design for making racetracks? I'd say I got the idea from you and wouldn't take credit for it. I really like the design of the course and the Start/Finish line. Great design for a racing track.
I played this map once, and it was really awesome. Its cheat-free too so we dont have to deal with cheaters.
I think it could be a good idea, but there are a few hurdles to overcome. For one, the needed number of laps varies wildly from one race track to another. I understand this and could change it easily for any map in question, but your average Halo 3 player just wants to match the gametype to the map and hit the ground running. Also, this has been more or less done already by the Racetracks group on the bungie.net forums. My gametype is radically different from theirs due to the suicide penalty and VIP kill penalty. In essence, my gametype only works on maps with my anti-cheating measures in place. Perhaps we should create the standard for this format? As it stands, I know of a few things that need to change in the Bungie 500 gametype. Maybe I should release the reworked form of the map with the new standard?
That's what I meant... a standard gametype for FH... basically for racetracks that don't require the honor system... I posted a sticky in the Race Maps section about this. Read that and post there Glim.
Glim I used the glitches, over lapping objects and budget to really fix this up, mostly in the ground level where it needed more like you said but did not want to change up the course at all. Take a look, Did not touch the man canons or wall behind it even those they are not parellel, not sure if that was by design but just left it alone, some of the ground walls where uneven and one of the bank corners to, fixed it all up. Again the course is the same just looks a little more flashy on the ground. Thanks for the best, real and only! race map out there glim, great job again, I think my next map will be a race track on foundry so lets see how that goes... here it is... B U N G I E 500
Haha, thanks. I queued it up and will check it out tomorrow. The feedback for this map never ceases to amaze me.
This has to be the greatest racing track ever, and I have a race with a loop de loop, and supermario-cart. Its just so beautiful
