Hello all. It's my first time posting here, so hello ForgeHub! I hope this is the right section... BRUTESHOT SKILL [Map] [Gametype] Alrighty, basically this is an obsticle for the brute shot. I got the idea from the plasma rifle wall-riding in Quake 3 Arena. In this map, there are five obstacles you need to get by to reach the oddball at the end, and each obstacle tests a different skill, except for the last one. When you get the oddball, you will turn pure, shiny gold, and get 4x overshields. Now let's turn to my amazingly awesome Photoshop skills for the pictures: Spawn and first obstacle Pit #1 The Slide Getting Up Pit #2 Yes it is possible Game Over Hint: If you have no clue where to go, follow the brute shots. They point the way. Well, that's pretty much it. Please leave feedback and comments.
looks really good for your first post. 4/5. i like it, but i can already tell how to do a lot of the puzzles
Looks like a fun map 4/5 and a DL. The Photoshopped parts made me laugh. I also liked how you used the brute shots for hints.
original a little sloppy but that adds personality it reminds me of my favorite game when i was little .
Really, the only reason it looks sloppy is because I had to fill all the holes in the map. Other than looking weird, I thought it turned out good.
This looks pretty nice! I already know how to do some of the hints. The last one looks very hard... 5/5 great job I will download
looks like a fun map to try. i like the idea of bruteshot skills since they are helpful in so many diffrent ways not just to kill people. nice job on the map it looks really good.
No this does not look sloppy, Great Idea! Downloaded! And will somebody please tell me how to embed links into my Pictures!
its sloppy, but its also very original, i always see these jump maps, but i havent seen abrute shot jump one yet, untill now, nice job
On the last one, instead of jumping the gap you can just go over to the wall beneath the teleporter and go straight up. I don't know how you would fix it, but it kind of ruins it.
I am aware, but I can't really change that without taking it all to bits, then putting it back together. It doesn't matter that much to me, as I kind of wanted to let the player have the freedom of passing the obtacles any way they want.
I did that because when I playtested with my friends, they got confused about where to go. But now they're confused why the brute shots are floating on the wall. :/
Lol what idiots =] This looks like a great puzzle map .. And i like how you use brute shots .. Great job! =]
this map looks pretty good. puzzle maps always look good and are well thought out, although theres a lot of them (and i think this one goes in mini-games). Although I've never seen a puzzle map based around teh brute shot, so congrats on that original idea.
