Post your honest unadulterated opinion about a forge map or ask for someone to post about yours. No filters. No eggshells. No bullshit. No sneaking around in party chat trying to explain yourself. Dump that **** in here.
It feels good to know that I've pretty much told everyone what I thought without a filter when it comes to feedback. Sure, I could go pick a map and rip it apart, but I don't think that's fair. I'll give my honest thoughts if someone wants them, but I'm not gonna be a schnitzel and dish it out 100% of the time.
Rift ball quickly becomes a one sided game where the first team to reach the ball has the ability to score instantly with a simple pull of the right trigger. Said team normally receives the ability to camp said ball.
I'll bite. What do yall think of Snake Pit? I've got an idea of what people think of it, but what to actually hear it from someone.
Please playtest/review the three maps I've uploaded so far. (maps in order of creation) ------------------ http://www.forgehub.com/maps/elysian.2643/ Elysian, a small 2v2 map in a mountainous jungle. ----------- http://www.forgehub.com/maps/damsite.3677/ Damsite, a core map designed based off the last area of Halo 3's Sierra 117 mission. --------------- http://www.forgehub.com/maps/penance.3678/ Penance, a large BTB map mainly inspired by Halo 2's quarantine zone, and Assault on the Control Room. Please ignore the music for now, I forgot to delete it.
I think the teleports are terrible. I would much prefer lifts or nothing. Obviously the art isn't as good as it once was. Still good though.
name any forge map and i'll post my opinion on it the teleporters were dumb explosive barrels are dumb the hallways on the bottom of the map are too tight the jump across bottom mid is annoying i like everything else about it. visually i wish the map could be pushed more. i don't see the gameplay being more than a 7 but the art could go further and push it to an 8 overall, framerate be damned.
storm peaks? it's a unique concept with an original design. i enjoy the dynamic gameplay on the map. some of the aesthetics are cheesy (the one tower is basically a rectangle) and it highlights the repetitiveness of the cobblestone texture, so it holds the map back visually. you can literally see the texture repeating in this image: with another art/geo pass, i'd give the map a 9. it lacks the wow factor that would truly elevate it beyond that, but is a solid design nonetheless. i wouldn't do anything to the layout other than make it a bit less precarious in some spots. the movement in this game isn't precise enough to build maps that depend on pixel perfect positioning.
Well. To be fair the teles amd most of the explosives got taken off, but I guess none of you played that version. But thanks for actually sayng something.
