Got to play it on steam at 9:00 my time (PST) My computer sucks, so it wasn't a very good representation of the game's experience. I played for about two hours and fast-tracked myself to Sanctuary (Skipped almost every side quest) Looking like a pretty awesome game so far. Gonna completely start over tomorrow afternoon on Xbox so I can really play the game the way it was meant to be played.
My buddy bought it last night and we ended up playing a little over five hours. I'm playing as a Solider. I don't know if anyone else is have this problem, but any gun we find it's either a shotgun or pistol. Then the occasional sniper and rocket launcher, but assault rifles and smgs are super rare for us.. I be pissed yo.
Got up to Lv12 in 1 sitting with my friend Tony. My Badass rank is a wooping 167. The game is vastly superior to borderlands in every way. The characters are more memorable, funnier and the weapons really feel different. I love that there are no weapon proficiency so you can use any weapon you want regardless of class. If you got it on PC add me on Steam. EDIT: smg and assault rifles are rare for me as well but i do have a blue and a purple smg and rifle. Ill post pics of them later. EDIT2: The guns in question Spoiler
haha why did you even buy it on pc if youre computer sucks and youre just gonna get it on xbox anyway?
Does anyone know exactly how to use the Creature Slaughter Dome? I'm having some troubling figuring it out.
I'm a lvl 9 Commando and all I get is freaking Pistols. However, when I do find a Rifle or SMG, they are usually pretty good. Missing my regenerating ammo Class Mod from Borderlands, atm. In other news, the guy at Gamestop (who I had never seen there before) tried to give me the Ultimate Loot Chest Edition when I just had the Vault Hunter's Limited Edition. I should have just gone along with it...
No i think that is just bad luck, the game is really random on the area of weaponary dropments, or finding them in cases. I think you will eventually find a weapon that fits you, plus it would make no sense if AR,s are rare for you right? You are the soldier, he is supposed to have assault rifle,s.
I've put in about 9 hours split between two characters; Maya and Salvador. Here are my thoughts on them so far (note: Maya is only level 13, and Salvador level 11). Maya: Pros: Crazy, insane, ludicrous amounts of elemental damage. Cons: a little on the weak side, phase lock leaves me wanting more. Current Build: Helios (3/5), the one that boosts elemental chance (5/5); Class mod - fox (bonus to fire elemental); weapons - fire elemental Sniper, fire elemental SMG, neutral Sniper. Comments: one of the harder characters to master, but easily the most rewarding. Salvador: Pros: He can ****ing duel-wield! Cons: He's like 3'7 (3'1 crouching) Current Build: Larger Mag perk (5/5), increased "gunzerk" duration (1/5); Class mod - none yet; Weapons - two tediore "throw-away" shotguns with a quick fire rate, deep(ish) mag and decent damage (really fun to gunzerk with), Hyperion shotgun (for when I'm not gunzerking). Comments: See pros. Another note, how many badass points do you guys have? I'm up around the 500 mark, and I'm loving the system - even if the value added decreases significantly.
Has anyone encountered any glitches yet? Yesterday, I did a mission where you are supposed to kill someone and search their body, and while their body was in plain site, I had no option to search it, and the waypoint for it was underground. Thankfully, the body and waypoint reset after traveling, but it was still slightly annoying. Also, I don't know if it's because I'm playing solo or a low level (13), but the guns in this games suck. In Borderlands, it seems like I went from great gun to great gun with mediocre guns in between, but now I can hardly find one that can kill anyone in one clip. If you are having problems with the Badass Nomads (guys with shields), I found that if you run right up to them and strafe around them, they can't turn fast enough to shoot you or block your shots.
I think it's because the game is so large. I'm level 13 also and I have some mediocre weapons, but I'm under the impression that you get them in waves (like the start is all fire elemental weapons, and then later on its probably corrosive, ect.)
i chose zero for my first playthrough, and i have to say im regretting that decision a bit. his action skill is pretty useless, at least when playing solo. i think axton would have been the best choice for a solo run.
