I'm level 13 and I have a Sniper that does ~7k crit damage when in deception mode + 30% shock damage chance. No wonder I was being ****ed over, I was shooting at the shield thingy.
Still, W4R-D3N is a robot many people had problems with, you prevent it from deploying troops by shooting directly into his eye, this will also give you crits. Deception also shows that, highlighting that in a red pentagon, but you already now that. You could do some side-quests to get better gear and training. Corrosive is in fact very usefull, but if you just got an good weapon, try to always hit em in the eye.
I still don't know how people are having trouble with W4R-D3N, I guess my playstyle just made the fight really easy for me?
My style is sit back with my sniper. It's how I play most games and I'm not changing to suit this one either. I can drop its shields but those EXP-Loader bots **** me right up. Can't deal with them fast enough. Doesn't help that the class mod I'm currently using removes health. Also: Should I get a more powerful shield that takes away health over a less powerful shield that allows me to keep all my health? I've got ~400 health but I seem to always be fighting with much less than that.
If your going down the left perk tree then you should consider the middle perk that (stage 4 i think) with health recharge when in deception. All the other health/shield recharges are in the right perk tree, which you get for kills to help you keep alive by dropping enemies. I could maybe give you some more accurate advice if i knew what skills you went for. I've gone for sniper dominance too, and alternated my perks across all 3 trees, but a focus on bonus crit damage and bonuses for kills makes me dangerous with alsorts of weapons, so i never really get into trouble in close range, even since i dropped all of the fantastic melee benefits.
i was rocking assassin bloodshed ninja, and then my xbox broke. i will get a new one, but i will be broke. i cant wait for Many Must Fall.
I beat the damn thing by pure luck. Straight after I walk into a corrosion sniper with burst fire. I now switch between the two but I've also found the next step up for my shock sniper
I got this game a couple days ago and I love it. I was really lucky when I fought W4R-D3N; it just sat there and didn't build any robots for some reason, lol.
true vault hunter mode has been tough as **** so far. my first playthrough i hardly ever really had any trouble, but so far in TVH ive had to kind of cheat on 2 early "boss" enemies. for flint i had to hang out by the ammo machine and not drop down so flint came over and just stood under me until i killed him. then for that doc whatever guy for the early zed quest with the e-tech gun, i had to lure him out into the open, get in my runner, and run him over so he'd fall over and i could just hammer him with the runner MG. and its not like the quests have been way out of my league either, theyre in the "normal" difficulty. it just seems way tougher
It's the mode you unlock after you beat the game, it's basically a rerun through the game, but you start at with whatever you had when you beat the game, and everything is re-named and re-leveled, with better loot.
You unlock it AFTER you have beaten the game, so its a re-run but the enemies are leveled with you, and you keep your gear.
Doing my true vault hunter play through solo (mostly, thanks Comm. Matt) and it's easy as a Siren. Enemies be candy ass bitches when you have filled the cataclysm tree to Ruin and put the remaining points to motion. That Wadren constructor died within 5 seconds of massive shock/corrosive damage.
So it would be sweet if there were an wasp shotgun along the lines of the striker, and maybe a skullmasher type gun themed in bees too, but still, the following is actually a decent set of gear, provided it were all leveled to you properly. Spoiler All of that with a Gemini Commando build basically means shield turret, shield turret, rocket turret, and as many flamey grenade turrets as you feel like tossing around, all while you're a ridiculously overpowered cannon as long as your collection of turrets draws the fire off of you. And, y'know - bee themed. There's even a yellow Axton skin to tie it all together, although the name escapes me ATM. I'm totally going to accrue all that gear and build that character. I'm going to name him 'Honey'. lmao
We killed Vernivirous the Invincible for the first time last night it was epic. He is harder then Terramorphus because of all the added varkids and him flying around but i highly suggest going to the farmhouse with 4 people and farming them varkids. PICTURE: Spoiler
Hot tip if you're looking for a better Moxxi's Bad Touch - hand $ to a mule and get them to do the tipping. (and tip in $100s - looks like the drop is random, not based on how much you've tipped)
we go 2-3 really good purps but no legendary sadly. I did get like 3 legendary rocket launchers from chubbys eariler.
