Well, I've been gone camping for the past week. Oddly enough, I managed to get 1 bar on my phone. Thus, I checked twitter on my phone and read this tweet: I was very happy when I saw this because Borderlands is one of my favorite games and I'd been hoping for a sequel for some time now. So, anyways, here are some linkies to some stuffs about Borderlands 2. I'm not going to pretend that I actually know anything about it, I simply sat down and saw there was no thread to get information from, so now I'm making it. Will definatly keep an eye on this one. Borderlands 1 had so much potential, but I feel the modders and the multiplayer system completly killed it. You shouldn't be able to join a game and instantly boost your way too a level 50. The xp you earn should be relevant to the hosts rank IMO. And having a random join your game and ruin your epic boss battle with a modded shotgun just took the piss. I won't say no to more playable characters either
DETAILS - Co-op will probably be 4 players - Vehicles will have variety - One vehicle: Bandit Technical - One vehicle will have four seats - Eridium – enhance weapons - Eridium is a form of currency - Salvador: Gunzerker, can dual-wield with any weapon - Vault Hunters from the first game will be NPCs - Bandits can access their own type of weaponry - Unique styling, color, personality for each manufacturer - Custom decals/enhancements for weapons - More responsive enemies, more varied, better AI, improvement so that they interact with each other better - NPCs will also be improved, will move around more - Interacting dialogue for players - Skill tree will be similar to the first game (3 branch system) - Claptrap seems to be returning - Apparently there won’t be any old weapons - Story missions won’t be static - Some pickups will provide temporary buffs Source
Notch RT'd the details on this one almost a week ago. Still haven't actually played Borderlands myself, but i've heard nothing but great things. Also had the chance to snipe some fools on my buddy's game. I'll probably be getting this.
It means anything, though it is his primary skill that you activate, not a constant thing. He even has a skill that increases the rate of fire the longer you hold down the trigger, meaning rockets may be fun, but strong, low-rof weapons with large clips can be ideal.

Idk wtf game you were playing, but Rockets were the most underpowered weapons in the game, while Combat Rifles kicked butt if you found one with good power, accuracy, and 10+ fire rate (usually a 3 round burst). The one I had was practically a sniper rifle. Anyway, as much fun as dual-wielding sounds, I can't wait to see what the other classes can do to match that. I know they talked about the Gunzerker being overpowered in GI, but I would think the other classes would be able to do some pretty bamf stuff, too.
Indeed. If you watch the Interview video he said that they tried to let you play like the classic characters, but added in these new aspects to further improve the game experience. you can still be the brutal close range berserker with your fists, but you've got the extra benefit of having lone range abilities. If you take the same concept with the other classes I think we're gonna be seeing some really sweet things.
Nice find. The gun variation looks awesome. The siren looked almost exactly like Lilith, but maybe that was just the crappy quality. Still, looks like a lot has improved from Borderlands, which is tons of fun as it is.
