Blueprint By HLG Viper The corridors of this abandoned brute facility lays quiet. Maybe too quiet... Blueprint is an asymmetrical map made for mainly close combat purposes. It is a very small map with some very minor spawn issues around the bridge, but it definately works for everything from 2v2 to Oddball. It is only compatible for juggernaut, slayer, team slayer, oddball and infection, because as you might have figured, team objective gametypes does not work because of the map's small size. There's a lot of tight corners and corridors filled with cover The map has a roof! Weapons; Battle Rifle x2. 1 extra clip, 45 seconds respawn. Assault Rifle x2. 2 extra clips, 30 seconds respawn. Needler x1. 2 extra clips, 45 seconds respawn. Plasma Rifle x1. 45 seconds respawn. Fuel Rod x1. 1 extra clip, 90 seconds respawn. Shotgun x1. no extra clips, 90 seconds respawn. SMG x1. 2 extra clips, 30 seconds respawn. Spiker x1. 2 extra clips, 30 seconds respawn. Grenades; Spike grenades x4. 30 seconds respawn. Equipment; Bubble Shield x1. 90 seconds respawn. Misc; Fusion coil x2. 45 seconds respawn My own thoughts; -The shotgun was positioned on the bottom of the map because of the potention bubble camp. The shotgun carrier will have a harder time getting both of them since if he rushes shotgun first, he will have to run all around the map to get it. If he rushed bubble, someone will likely have the shotgun already. -The focused point moves all the time, so you will have to stay in motion to survive. The bridge has a lot of combat going on on it, so grab a kill there and then leave, or you will probably be overwhelmed, since you're open to all angles. .The balconys are great for tricking, ambushing and confusing enemies. You will probably beat the shotgun carrier if you are on a balcony! -There is no rocket, because that would make it too chaos-packed. As we all know, the fuel rod shots bounce at close range, and have very slow projectiles. That fits this map perfectly. -The small balconys is an excellent way to confuse and kill a shotgun carrying enemy. Therefore, the shotgun is not at all overpowered. -You cannot reach the bridge from the middle platform. You will have to go around. -There are some side-rooms wih weapons in 'em. -The BR perch at B-spawn was intentional. It was even geo-merged into the ground to make the hight match the wall floor. -The fusion coils are positioned close to all power-weapons, so if you think someone is there, shoot it or stick it! there'll be no frag bounces to the PW spawns because of the custom gametypes, you'll have to hit them directly. Screenshots: B-side B-side from another angle (you can see the side-room containing a plasma rifle) If you keep going the direction the last screenshot is facing, you'll get here (Fuel Rod spawn) The middle bridge viewed from the main hallway connecting the fuel rod and the shotgun (you cannot jump up from the hallway) Same hallway from the other direction (you can see an interlocked shield door under the fence wall balcony. I couldn't use any solid object that helped youto jump up to the bridge, and as you can run through the shield door, there will be no messy jumping and such to get behind it) A-side A-side viewed from shotgun spawn The shotgun is inside an interlocked open box in the back, i have no screenshot. The bubble shield is on the bridge. Rough paint layout Also, i have made custom slayer gametypes to fit the map. Basically i just removed the starting frags and added magnums as secondary weapons just to lower the amount of explosions. It looks a hundred times better in-game, i can assure you that. from the pics it looks like a sweet map but when i see it inside with a roof on it'll probably look even cooler!
I'm looking at this and all I can think is what's stopping people from hopping out of the map and just needling or BRing kids from up top? You said there's a roof, please expand on that. I'm glad you didn't put a lot of power weapons, I only see Fuel-Rod Gun and Shotgun, which are balanced out on opposite ends. The merging on this map looks flawless regardless of the open top and I'm going to have to que this map to test it out for myself.
I wrote on the top with red text; There is a roof. Stop scrolling to the screenshots and read the text. Yes, it looks a lot better in-game. Download it and check it out. I have a raised dome roof over the bridge to give people space to jump too. How do you meen expant? take photos of the roof? It's part bridges, part staircases. It looks great though, A spawn has a staircase roof while A and the main corridor has a bridge roof.
yes there is... maybe you should read the whole thing over again. anyway, glad to see you posted it on FH viper. still havent gotten to play it yet. but it looks like a blast. like i said at MMG, the weapons seem VERY balanced. and i did a forgethrough on this and i noticed how much time this probably took. there was lots of interlocks and i noticed those very tiny geomerges you did. i cant wait to actually play it.

Thank you evan! Me, Adelyss and Alestair played FFA, and i friggin' loved it! we tried oddball too, which was very hectic, and no-one had the ball for long. It does play really well. Yes i though about the weapon placement a lot. Well, i like to do details, even if no-one notices it or thinks about how much time it took. Like the geo-melded BR ledge. Thanks, yes. Try to read the whole post. It will explain some other things too.
map looks really cool with great interlocking, you hsould add a pic with the roof, I'm glad a get my 300th post on a great map. 5/5
Thank you, they are supposed to work as cover to certain points. Some are higher up than others. Each side has its own set of signs. Even the holes under the bridges are blocked by interlocked signs on the appropriate sides. I guess i could, but it will just look like crap. Thank you for your time!
